cant change dagger skin on soulbeast ranger

what else can i try it like doesnt want to acknowledge i have it or somthin. is an accended weapon dagger was using in mainhand i tried to unequip and change as well

Well, what steps are you taking when you try to change the skin?

1. Press H

2. Wardrobe label

3. Click on the weapon

4. Choose among the options you can see on the left

5. Click on "confirm"

6. Done

Do you have transmutation charges? You’ll need one for most changes to a skin.

 

If you don’t have any you can get them by doing map complete on cities (1 guaranteed per city), map complete on regular maps (RNG), by doing pvp or WvW reward tracks, from daily rewards (3 per month) and buying them from the gemstore.

The UI won’t acknowledge you have a main hand dagger unless you have Soulbeast traitline equipped. So, say you equip Soulbeast in PvE and use your main hand dagger, then go into PvP or WvW where your build is separate, so you may not have the Elite specialisation equipped in those modes, you will still have the dagger equipped, but totally unusable until you use the elite spec. This goes vice versa for switching between the 3 game modes.

Maybe this is why the wardrobe isn’t recognising your main hand dagger.

You also can't change skins in your wardrobe if you are mounted. So make sure you are not on a mount while trying to do this.

Additionally, you can't change weapon skins while in SAB.
