can they shoot while stealthed? I was targeted so was looking for them. we were in open field, no rocks to hide behind so I should have seen him. just wondering thank you.

A deadeye can mark you from stealth w/o revealing themselves unless traited for it to cause a condition, do damage or cc. It can also shoot at you from stealth but likewise would get revealed as soon as they do damage.

This ability reveals you whether you hit or not.

 

So yea, they were likely chaining stealth effects waiting for their malice stacks to cap out before unloading.

All power damage reveals you. Deaths Judgement is unique in that it reveals the Deadeye. If you got hit and can't see him, chances are he used deadeyes uly

death judgement reveals you at the beginning of the channel, before any shot. therefor this one cannot shoot out of stealth. he can shoot without a laser tho , so it is allways better to listen for the audio tell.

but deaths judgment is not the only hit a deadeye can onehit you with if you are rather squishy and all other hits reveal you after they deal damage.
