Wondrouswall.7169
Without changing too much, a suggestion to grant up to 5 allies the barrier and convert a boon on up to 5 enemies within the target area, losing the barrier fragments idea. Additionally, affected foes are poisoned for 2s and the poison duration increases by 100% for each ally that was given a barrier. Makes barrier application straight-forward, retains boon conversion on foes but flips the generation of barrier fragments based on foes struck to poisoning foes and increasing the potency based on allies given a barrier. Poison duration would still be 10s but requires aiding 5 allies.
Drarnor Kunoram.5180
Not a bad idea. The fragments is certainly the worst aspect of the skill.

It's forgotten because it has no situation where it's good to use it. AoE boon strip? Just use Well of Corruption. Gives you life force, does more damage, and corrupts more boons on a shorter cast time and same cooldown. Want barrier? Sand Swell gives you reliable barrier and gets you out of the heat. Also gives it to allies.
HardRider.2980
Well something needs to be done with this lump of a forgotten skill tbh. Granting barrier helps support barrier builds.
