Constant crashing in cities

Recommended Posts

Since yesterday, my game is crashing constantly (as in, guaranteed to crash before being in-game for ten minutes) even when I just stand in cities. Yesterday and today, I needed to start the game up no less than _ten times_ just to do my daily ascended crafting. My other games are stable, and my RAM usage is only at like 60% when GW2 is running.

I don't use (and have never used) Taco, ArcDPS, or any other program that hooks into GW2. I've tried the -repair option as well as deleting and re-downloading the .dat file. I've also tried updating and downgrading my NVIDIA drivers.

Oddly enough, this only seems to happen in the open world. Today, I jumped into a Fractal group and completed the daily recs without a crash or other issue, then the game crashed 3 minutes after zoning back out to Lion's Arch.

PC Specs:

Ryzen 1700X

GTX 1060 6GB

16GB DDR4-3000 RAM

Game and Windows on a Samsung EVO 500GB SSD

Anything to do here or just hope Anet fixes it? Google is only giving me "uninstall ArcDPS and any other third party programs" and I've never had ArcDPS installed in the first place.

Deleted in protest of anet leaving support ticket #7495730 without answer since October 10th 2019. It's sad how if this were a money-related issue you'd have answered within a couple of hours. At this point I'm not even mad, but disappointed by the mediocrity displayed by your community managers.

At that point I'd start looking into potential hardware issues: are you sure that cooling is adequate, that power supply is adequate, and that you still experience this when overclocking (including factory overclocking) is removed from both CPU and GPU?
