Joko had already said everything of interest, he was just babbling self-centered nonsense about his greatness at this point, so you didn't miss anything of importance when Aurene assaulted him. I actually enjoyed finally being confronted with Aurene's scary dragon nature - when she ate him, she did with pleasure and wouldn't even let the Commander approach her. Her aggressive side makes for a lot of interesting future story-telling. (She also seemed to have consumed Joko's magic, because once she was finished with him, a blue glow surrounded her.) I was thinking Joko = Indominus Rex, Aurene = mosasaurus. In other news: Doesn't seem like Tyrian liches -- well, besides Khilbron, I guess -- make use of phylacteries, but it wouldn't surprise me too much if Joko had one stashed away somewhere.
