safely escort the funeral procession to the necropolis

Recommended Posts

So.. I tried triggering this event with a friend and several other players. We cant find anything useful on the forums, and we cant trigger the event. We killed the Judge (as someone said was the trigger) but nothing happened. Does anyone have any tips on how to complete this event? :<

Is it random or IS there a trigger to it somehow? pls help! <3

Killing the Judges won't trigger the event, but the event won't happen if any events are currently happening at the Necropolis (at least according to the wiki). You'll just have to wait around at the Receiving Attendant until he gets an event marker above his head. Once it appears, you can talk to him to trigger the escort (which pops up near the Forged Crossroads). https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Safely_escort_the_funeral_procession_to_the_Necropolis#Walkthrough

I just did this event last night. The event is on an approximately two hour timer, and will not spawn if other events are occurring at the Necropolis. I and a few others hung out for a while with the Receiving Attendant NPC and cleared other events quickly so the timer wouldn't be interrupted, and it spawned for us. Expect to be ambushed by several gangs of Forged along the way, and to hear enough disturbing cult-type dialogue to make you wonder if the people of Vabbi are worth saving.

Did it spawn at the Necropolis then? Or did the attendant just show the way? We cleared all events in Necropolis several times now (over 1 hour and 30 min), so I guess we will see if it pops soon. Ty for you input :)

The attendant just points the way. There are two possible spawn locations, one north of the Necropolis WP and one to the east. When the event marker appears on the Receiving Attendant, talk to him and he points you to which one is active. Two warnings:

- You'll want to mount up and get to the procession ASAP, because the first ambush happens rather quickly.

- That said, don't just rush over there blindly. If you get the east spawn, there's an inconveniently located patch of quicksand directly between the spawn point and the Necropolis. Don't ask how I learned that; just watch your step.

I stayed here for 11 hours now (with 30 min afk at some point) and still no event though.. I had friends and guildies help me stay at spawn points for 2-3 hours, and nothing. We cleared the Necropolis events several times (the judge ones) just incase that should matter. I guess I will just have to stay another 11 hours, haha :)

no, its not normal it seems.. the map was bugged. Got it completed on another map right away.

Dusk is 5 minutes before Night. Dusk and Dawn are each only 5 minutes long.
