BetaMatter.4713 Posted July 16, 2018 Share Posted July 16, 2018 Alright I haven't played GW2 in a while and wanted to get back into it and play again but I uninstalled the game previously, and now when I download the setup, 64 or 32 for windows I get this crash. I'll just paste dump most of it here: *--> Crash <--* Exception: c0000005 Memory at address ffffffff`ffffffff could not be read App: Gw2-64.exe Pid: 14588 Cmdline: -allowInstall BaseAddr: 00007FF67A310000 ProgramId: 101 Build: 90556 Module: apphelp.dll When: 2018-07-16T03:22:42Z 2018-07-15T23:22:42-04:00 Uptime: 0 days 0:00:01 Flags: 0 *--> System <--* Name: 69a96414 IpAddr: 192.168.0.101 Processors: 6 [AuthenticAMD:15:2:0] OSVersion: Windows 10.0 (64 bit) *--> System Memory <--* Physical: 3160MB/ 8175MB 38% Paged: 8234MB/16385MB 50% Virtual: 134213342MB/134217727MB 3% Load: 61% CommitTotal: 8151MB CommitLimit: 16385MB CommitPeak: 14615MB SystemCache: 2369MB HandleCount: 89653 ProcessCount: 189 ThreadCount: 2863 *--> Process Memory <--* Private: 31MB WorkingSet: 28MB PeakWorkingSet: 30MB PageFaults: 97452 *--> Memory Category Usage (Inclusive) <--* [Category] [size(MB)] [Count] Root 6.95 4500 Uncategorized 6.64 4425 Programmer Data 0.31 75 File Service 0.27 2 I/O 0.27 2 Collections 0.01 31 Dictionary 0.01 30 Engine 0.01 5 Model-Programmer 0.01 1 Threading 0.01 7 UI 0.00 17 String 0.00 6 Gr 0.00 2 Gr Texture 0.00 1 Networking 0.00 3 Msg 0.00 3 Web Browser 0.00 3 Audio 0.00 2 Gr Umbra 0.00 1 Jobs 0.00 1 Services 0.00 2 Asset Service 0.00 0 Subheaps 0.00 0 File Core 0.00 0 *--> Memory Category Usage (Exclusive) <--* [Category] [size(MB)] [Count] Uncategorized 6.64 4425 File Service 0.27 2 Dictionary 0.01 30 Model-Programmer 0.01 1 Threading 0.01 7 UI 0.00 14 String 0.00 6 Gr Texture 0.00 1 Msg 0.00 3 Web Browser 0.00 3 Collections 0.00 1 Audio 0.00 2 Gr Umbra 0.00 1 Jobs 0.00 1 Services 0.00 2 Programmer Data 0.00 1 I/O 0.00 0 Engine 0.00 0 Gr 0.00 0 Networking 0.00 0 Dynamic Geo 0.00 0 Asset Service 0.00 0 Subheaps 0.00 0 File Core 0.00 0 *--> DllList <--* C:\Users\Austin\AppData\Local\Temp\Gw2.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\x64\aswhooka.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNEL32.DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\apphelp.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\USER32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\win32u.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\GDI32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\gdi32full.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\msvcp_win.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\ucrtbase.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\ADVAPI32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\msvcrt.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\sechost.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\RPCRT4.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\WS2_32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\WINTRUST.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\MSASN1.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\CRYPT32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\PSAPI.DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\ole32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\combase.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\bcryptPrimitives.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\OLEAUT32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\SHELL32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\cfgmgr32.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\shcore.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\windows.storage.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\shlwapi.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\kernel.appcore.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\profapi.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\powrprof.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\FLTLIB.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\VERSION.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WTSAPI32.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WINMM.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSACM32.dll C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft.windows.gdiplus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.1.17134.165_none_2c2d892a8af7e37a\gdiplus.dll C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_5.82.17134.165_none_f954469b3093f6d5\COMCTL32.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\USP10.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSIMG32.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Secur32.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WINMMBASE.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CRYPTBASE.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SSPICLI.DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\IMM32.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dbghelp.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\uxtheme.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\imagehlp.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CRYPTSP.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\rsaenh.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\bcrypt.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvspcap64.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntmarta.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\gpapi.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cryptnet.dll C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server\RTSSHooks64.dll C:\Program Files\Echobit\Evolve\Drivers\EvolveGameTracker_64.dll C:\Program Files\Echobit\Evolve\Drivers\EvolveOverlayHelper_64.dll C:\Program Files\Echobit\Evolve\EvolveEasyHook_64.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\napinsp.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\pnrpnsp.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\NLAapi.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\mswsock.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DNSAPI.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\NSI.dll C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\IPHLPAPI.DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\winrnr.dll C:\WINDOWS\System32\fwpuclnt.dll C:\Windows\System32\rasadhlp.dll [DbgHelp.dll is C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dbghelp.dll] [DbgHelp.dll version 10.0.17134.1 (64/32-bit compatible)] Now i'm sorry if that's more pasted than needed, I didn't copy all of it but i'm unsure of what part of it is helpful for diagnosing this problem. Now I'm not posting this without doing research on this crash to see if its been posted before and I see most people who get this crash are getting it from the module part at the top that says: Module: apphelp.dll. But they have a Lavasoft file there, but I don't have lavasoft and don't even know what it is. I've searched this apphelp.dll file and its in my system32 or windows folder which I obviously can't just delete because it won't let me, and because I don't think that would be healthy for my computer anyways. I've looked up this problems multiple time in multiple different ways and I've tried installing the game over a few days now and I have tried restarts and virus and malware scans with have been fruitless so far. Also this is my first post on any forum ever, I had a look over on the rules and I just hope I'm not breaking any rules or anything sorry if I am, no harm meant I'm just at a loss. Inculpatus cedo.9234 Posted July 16, 2018 Share Posted July 16, 2018 This may be helpful: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-performance/apphelpdll/1edffc34-a133-4218-8565-bf7fdaed78bc https://www.file.net/process/apphelp.dll.html Lavasoft programs can be quite tricky to find, often piggy-backing on Bing, etc. Try doing a deep search on the computer. Good luck. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
