cat.8975
Change the cooldown on [Epilogue: Ashes of the Just](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Epilogue:_Ashes_of_the_Just) from 12s to 30s. Stops the RF cheese and potentially makes the tome cooldown trait more valuable than the Ashes-on-quickness trait. If quickness trait is still too strong, cut the stacks down from 2 to 1. Those changes would probably put FB at around ~35-40k dps, without murdering it anywhere. Further changes as necessary, but this should be done first (and don't bundle it with other simultaneous nerfs unless you're confident in your golem testing skills ;) ). Stops the RF cheese Yeah, I'm really looking forward to having no elite as a firebrand. Excellent suggestion. It's like all condi specs have to be sylvari for the elite, right? Brutaly.6257
Just remove quickfire and replace it with a trait that improves mantras instead. All traits actually improve tomes and none of them improve mantras as utilities.

The firebrand mantra has some really nice utility for plenty of fights, but it's currently overshadowed by abusing RF to cast another f1 5. > @Brutaly.6257 said: > Just remove quickfire and replace it with a trait that improves mantras instead. All traits actually improve tomes and none of them improve mantras as utilities. There's a mantra trait in the master slot. You could argue the slow-on-immob GM was designed to go hand-in-hand with it as well.
Brutaly.6257
I actually think you got the point but just want to have a semantics argument. Am i correct? If not i will try to be more specific next time.

The firebrand mantra has some really nice utility for plenty of fights, but it's currently overshadowed by abusing RF to cast another f1 5. We are not talking about **every** elite here, but **any** elite. Any elite that increases firebrand's dps, and there are none. RF can behave as one, because of the strength of F1. If you remove that, guardians will be forced to roll Sylvari for the hound, because none of our elites do even 1 point of damage.
Enko.6123
Changing Quickfire to give 1 stack of Ashes instead of 2 or lower the base burning duration for Ashes would tone it down without destroying it.
