After launching the game goes full screen, but nothing is responsive (no graphics either)

Just updated the game after a long break, and I am met with this current issue haha. I am trying to do the repair guild wars 2 files, and I will see if that helps, but just wondering if anybody has come across this issue before.

 

I updated / patched the game over night, logged in, clicked play, and the game appears to open into full screen you can see the border for the window of the game, but there is nothing within the window itself just transparent no graphics or anything. Additionally, the computer tends to lock up a little off and on as the game is running, and the only way to get out of it is by ending process through task manager which is what I usually end out doing.
