paShadoWn.5723
Present daily quests are "Perform some meaningless activity and get a reward", further bloating TP stocks of unused stuff. Adding/replacing these with a "Donate x, y, z stuff for the war effort" would serve as a sink and add a context. As Lieutenant Francis says, killing must be done within a context and so is questing. starlinvf.1358
They tried that with Provisioner tokens...... same concept, and only functions on the fact that the value can converted to something more valuable down the line. Just adding a sink doesn't work in this game, because the way things are structured allows for fairly simple gold conversion rates. In order to get players on board with a sink, it needs to directly contribute toward something highly desirable; either an exclusive skin as part of a collection, or a higher valued item as part of some direct or indirect crafting project. Making something cost gold attached to a daily for AP won't accomplish what you desire, unless the cost is marginal (less then 20s), essentially defeating its effectiveness as gold sink on players that should be sunk, and undesirable for players who can't/won't afford it. But I'm confused by the claim that daily quests (both hearts and Daily Achievements) bloat the TP with stocks of items, since only a few output something thats tradable in the TP. (Lumber, Miner, Gather).
