Red Haired Savage.5430
I don't like sand. Its coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Sorry couldn't resist. As far as I'm aware if you stack your sand shades they wont all 3 hit the same person. So you're best to spread them around.
Kumouta.4985
Your shades will actually all attack an enemy and deal their F1 damage and effects on every F1-5 use if stacked but won't trigger dhuumfire more than once. Abilities (F2-5) also only activate once even if stacked.

TheVindelator.8239
More shades means you can affect more characters over a wider space. But it doesn't mean you cast fear 3 times on one target or convert more than 2 of your conditions at once. More shades doesn't make for a bigger barrier either. These effects also happen right around your character as if they were a shade. (That's the half of your question I can answer. Damage rules, I'm a little murky on.)
