EnderzShadow.2506
What is your Favorite can't live without single 2 handed weapon or Weapon Set in Ranked PvP? I can only have 10 options to the poll, Axe/Dagger got left out.
ChartFish.1308
Honestly i wish i could use daggers more, hoping for a power scaling buff, that'd be great. It salts my apples so hard the auto attacks hit along the line of 1k, 1k, 1k, 4k. It could be a fantasic power weapon. Anyway longbow, so good, such crutch

Can ranger wield sword sword dual wield??? I'm no expert in this game... But is there a way??? Secret way to wield it??? 3rd vote option ... Is it referring to sword with axe??? I always thought dual wield to be cool... Will it be available when we use skirmish sword trait and ambidextrous dagger trait??? I'll check it out... Or is it just a trypo?? zipiyzape.3781
I love Axe/Axe, going Norn and throwing huge axes at my enemies just feel right, I love that ranger in GW2 is not just bow and pet and you can play it as some sort of melee fighter
malisivo.5264
...i am currently the only person in PVP who loves shortbow and dagger/dagger. Forget viability. I want to have fun! So many times, people have to do a double take when they see my weapon set. XD

But shortbow can be a nice 1v1 weapon.. with poison volley, concussion shot ... With Pierce and Dodge damage multiplier trait just before laying traps... I miss it.... I ditched shortbow and Condi trapper ranger coz it couldn't hurt a fly :p Maybe others can effectively play the build but not me... It was fun while it lasted... ;)
malisivo.5264
@"Crystal Paladin.3871" Dang, how'd you figure out my build? Have you seen my other posts before??? Kidding aside, I have fun with the build, so that's why I use it. Who cares if it couldn't hurt a fly? I can be as annoying as a fly. =)
voltaicbore.8012
I run condi soulbeast in PvE, but never got into the whole trapper/condi thing in sPvP. It seems much easier to cleanse/sustain through ranger condis, and I essentially had to play as a slower thief. I prefer longbow. As long as you're careful about not unloading bursts into blocks, reflects, and projectile destruction, it's pretty great as a chase-em-down weapon. I run LB + sw/wh in ranked. Durzlla.6295
Well, Staff wasn’t an option, so I went with my next favorite weapon of Warhorn, I’ll never leave my Warhorn behind, I typically will use a sword with it because of the defenses, but i do actually prefer to run it with axe because I’m a fan of not being in Melee range lol. whoknocks.4935
Playing soulbeast in pvp and wvw i like sword/warhorn and axe/axe. It is so much fun than the usual pewpew longbow with greatsword. Timing and landing those axe5 feels so damn rewarding, even if they get damaged by half the duration of the skill they are half dead already. Even landing axe4 pull feels great, but it's one of the hardest skill to land properly and most of the times it feels a bit clunky and bugged, but overall so much fun. And axe mainhand is just to get some range(900), or being pure melee is tough. Sword/warhorn is a good defensive set with 2 evades, one leap and one blast to combo with smokescale smokescreen, and a setting up burst due to warhorn skills. With this set you usually run moa and dolyak stance as well, one wolf pack elite is a solid choice too, in wvw i can down squishes just using Owp plus warhorn4 if all hits lands xD. I gotta try this. Ive been playing longbow sword warhorn with Owl and Smokescale Leadership, Palladin Its great for going far, either killing one or tying up one/two or more and trolling far constantly. Between the stability, leaps from sword and owl and 2 heals, it's possible to survive most fights. Feels like a Druid build thats not a druid :P But yeah, definitely giving this a go, see if I can make it work.
