Endless Disconnects During Story Instances

Recommended Posts

HoT and PoF missions are completely broken. As others have reported - ZERO issues with any other part of the game, or any other game. Just attempted Prisoners Of The Dragon again (a 20-30 minute mission, mostly that long because of unskippable talking scenes). It's obviously not my issue as the game cuts off at exactly the same part every time:

Wouldn't be so bad if the cool stuff like griffon wasn't gated behind completing the main story. I feel like paying someone to complete it for me as I am running out of options. But I have a feeling this is probably against the rules, like it is in most games. But ANet seems to not give a crap about fixing it so why should I care?

ANet, if you're reading this - please just instantly complete all the story missions on my account.

No, it doesn't.

I've dc'd 3 times joining another person's instance in Hearts and minds.

There's are 2 main work arounds.

Press your attack button continuously during dialog and movie scenes.

Use a proxy.

I've been having connection issues in story instances for the past year or so now. It happened to me in almost every LS3 chapter and after coming back to the game after a long break I had it again today when I tried to do the PoF intro mission.

These disconnections _never_ happen to me out in the open world, and they never seem to happen when I'm actively fighting. It's almost always when I've been standing idle during a cutscene or conversation with NPCs. This wouldn't be such an annoyance if your progress through a mission was saved. Getting disconnected right at the end and having to do the _entire thing_ over again is infuriating enough to make me quit the game every time.
