I hate seeing other players in the Winter Wonderland JP

I would not want them to change it, I far prefer seeing the other characters rather than a little puff like is done for the Halloween JP.

Yes, stepping on the snowflakes and the presents starts the collapse. If they do have a separate timer, then it must have a long delay, and other people simply trigger it early. I have never seen either of them start the collapse without someone stepping on them 1st.
