Condi Mirage

Recommended Posts

Most bosses have phases which favors high burst damage. Condi isnt as useful there as power.

For the bosses that dont phase, or move alot condi is preferred. There are only a few of these bosses so condi classes arent used as much.

Arc dps doesnt calculate condition ticks that proc from instant hits. So the dps shown on arc will never be actual dps of a mirage. Mirage will be doing alot more.

Im not sure about the range of damage but id imagine, since mirage damage comes from confusion and torment mainly, its max dps is dependant on;

How much the boss attacks (confusion)

How much the boss moves (torment)

Certain bosses lend themselves to power builds (often due to short burst phases), other bosses are better approached with condition damage. Mirage is a strong and often a meta pick on condition bosses, so not sure what you are on about. Mirage is seeing tons of play on appropriate bosses. The link alone you provided shows it to be a very strong pick on 4 bosses and a strong pick on 2 more (also all Snowcrows builds are not yet updated to the new balance patch).

Confusion damage is based on part on how fast a boss attacks. Suffice to say, some bosses attack very slow.

Ever since immunity effects on bosses stopped condition damage (before conditions still applied their full damage even if the boss went immune to further damage), condition builds dropped off on many bosses and power builds became more popular. It's close to an even split between condi and power, with power being more useful on many events and boss like events.

Thats pretty much it

There is a lot of hidden confusion damage that the DPS meter cannot pick or only picks it up looking at your self stat meter and not the typical squad meter. Also confusion and torment is affected by how much the boss moves and how often it attacks you. Things that the golem cannot emulate. If you are playing bosses like desmina and you are on illu mirage your self stat meter will actually show more damage than the squad meter.

The extra range on the benchmarks is potential damage that ppl calculated in excel sheets per boss.
