Ari.4023
I read on how to check using the diagnostics and trace the route, but the thing is the problem is only happening on GW2 and not on other games I play. Game worked fine before I upgraded speed with my ISP, which is the same ISP as before.. When upgrading you expect things to be better, not worse. I included the trace results here: Its pretty clear who the culprit is, but what can I do about it? Inculpatus cedo.9234
Yes, it looks like you are having problem with the Tier 1 backbone. You can speak to your ISP and ask them to speak to the backbone provider. Good luck.
Ari.4023
Well, so far I have sent a ticket to GW2 support regarding this, no answer yet. My ISP cannot help as this backbone provider is out of their network and they have no control over it. To get around the problematic stop I had to purchase a tunnel service for a monthly payment, hopefully Anet can resolve this so I don't have to pay a 3rd party to keep playing GW2.
