I did what so many of you suggested -- took my Necro off to other maps to do some events, and when I went back to AB, it dropped from the first Smokescale I killed. Perhaps the ANet gods had also read this thread and took pity on me, who knows. I thank everyone very much who responded here. I had misunderstood when DR wore off. To say that my Necro is going to wear this Pristine Smoke Claw as an accessory FOREVER is probably an understatement. This community rocks; thanks again!
