Nova.7261
There are a number of events that get stuck. For parties there is /gg that kills everything and lets you start over. Is there a command to kill an event that has gotten stuck? Especially one that has possibly been stuck for hours.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
There is not. For stalled events, the best bet is to enter a newly created map (most easily done after a patch). Good luck.
Skotlex.7580
ANet seems a little stubborn on this end: rather than have some simple mechanic that will force close old instances (say, if they have been going for over 24 hours) which would be a workaround until events get fixed, they would instead have players wait days, or months if unlucky, until they actually fix the event. :(
Nova.7261
Is there a way to request a map reset? Because when it happens to a non-farming meta, it will just sit there forever. Like, you have iron marches that gets stuck on Brandwatch Encampment from the dual events likely not telling each other properly that each other are done and 'ready'. That event is part of a chain that is needed for map completion. Aka, there's not enough people on the map to trigger a map reset the normal way. Inculpatus cedo.9234
It's not 'forever'; at most, usually, it's two weeks between patches. And no, there's no 'requests' for a map reset. At least, not so far.

Currently the only way is the use the megaserver architecture to your benefit: get enough people on the map to cause a new instance to be created and then hop to that instance. This involves using the lfg and getting people to join your squad / map until one of the newcomers ends in a different map instance. And frankly, this requires the help of many players to work. A lot easier is to wait for that map to become a daily and then just teleport until you end in a new instance. Though you are out of luck if the map in question is an LS one. :/
