Can someone explain why Oppressive Collapse is so hard to cast?

I have been having a lot of difficulty triggering Oppressive Collapse. I know you need a target for it to fire, but even when I do I cannot get it to fire. I seem to be generally facing targets and it just refuses to fire a lot of the time. Is the target window incredibly narrow? It seems to work better at more distant targets, is there some kind of minimum distance?

You just need to have them targeted, be facing their general direction, and be in range. You don't even need Line of Sight; this kitten can blast people through walls lmao.

It seems bugged, it's extremely rng to cast, even tho you face your target.

Yeah, I've been having issues as well - LOS issues, casting issues - all when facing a target. This is WvW btw.

and the ability does not even need LOS

 

my only issue with this ablity that everyone and their grand ma Walks/runs out of it before it activates T.T

even latency issues, when i press 5, then 4, sometimes uses skill 4 and forgets 5.

That is a general problem with longer casttime abilities though. Trying to use Dagger #5 and pressing scepter #3 immediatly after will cancel out dagger #5 99% of the time.
