Gathering Tool Glyphs

I am a returning player, and have bought pre-patch endless gathering tools from the gem store, Consortium Harvesting Sickle and Molten Alliance Mining Pick. I checked the wiki and it says i could trade them in to a black lion weapon specialist for newer ones with glyphs on them. I went to the vaults in lions arch and did not see the vendor with the items available for trade. I also went to the Black Lion Conch shell and talked to Black Lion Exchange Specialist, but the only ones they are able to trade out are watchwork, luckydog, and unbound tools. I had them in inventory and unequipped but still was unable to trade them in.

 

I was wondering where I might be able to trade mine in for ones with glyphs or how to do so.

 

I already purchased these items once from the gem store before glyphs were added and it would be very very disappointing if i would need to purchase more with glyphs just because glyphs were added to the game post purchase.

If I remember correctly, your specific tools didn’t have any special gathering bonuses. As such they were changed into skins and no glyphs were added to them. Watchwork, unbound, and lucky dog originally had gathering bonuses that now are provided by glyphs.

 

You don’t need to buy new tools. You can slot glyphs into them. Glyphs are tradable and can be found on TP. However, for some glyphs, buying them via gemstore (as tools with slotted glyphs) is cheaper, especially if they go on sale.
