Guild Missions - Puzzles

Hey,

 

We have a gripe with guild mission puzzles. While easy to do (once figured out etc.) we hate the way that the doors shut behind after a limited time.

 

Can anyone explain why they shut? Or could Devs make it so the doors just stay open? We had some who DC while in mission, so they had to wait at the start, and if someone dies (fall damage) they cannot use "restart from checkpoint" safely as it will throw them behind a closed door.

 

Like I said, it's more just a gripe with how puzzles than a bug, but it is annoying never the less.
