Continue later?

Hi , i just wanna know if i can continue PoF's story later again and not have to start over (on same character) , I just wanna play some personal story more and return again. Will i have to start the Story over (Pof) or does it continue where you left off? Sorry if it has been asked before , i'm a new(ish?) player

for the same character, you can pick-up where you left, just press 'continue' button in Story journal
