Tips on ingame cosplay?

I love the fashion wars endgame and have always been interested in the ingame cosplay. I fell in love with the look of the hollow knight and want to replicate the look in gw2, any pointers on how I can achieve that? I guess I would have to make my asura the darkest shade, probably medium size and use some kind of skull looking helmet skin, probably all shadow abyss bar the face. I know I can look up all the skins in the bank, but I am sure more people know about armor combinations than me. Thank you.
