Momchilo.8079
Hello all, So I created an engineer, and I went to the PvP lobby to tryout the weapons. When I equipped the flamethrower I really liked the mechanics of it, but my problem is that whenever I use the basic flame thrower attack there is flashing light effect. This is really tiresome for the eyes and I don't think I would be able to play this class or least the flamethrower kit if I'm not able to turn off that flashing effect. So my question is, is it possible to turn off the flashing light from the flamethrower basic attack via a console command or in the options? I had no luck finding that option so far. Thanks in advance.
ST Babaganosh.3745
indeed it is called Light Adaptation, found under the graphic options. I turn it off when playing late at night. It doesn't get rid of it completely but it stops the reflections from the textures around you. :)
Momchilo.8079
Nope still got it. The flicker is much more worse live than in this gif https://gyazo.com/3178fbd073c889c8354e36edfaa44f08 Man flamethrower looks fun to play, wish there was a way to turn this off. Hoodie.1045
I'm not exactly sure which setting allows you to turn off the flamethrower lighting, but these are the settings I use. They may not disable the flamethrower lighting, but they will tone it down. - Animation: Low - Anti-Aliasing: SMAA Low - Environment: Low - LOD Distance: Low - Reflections: None - Textures: Low - Render Sampling: Native - Shadows: None - Shaders: Low - Post-Processing: None - Character Model Limit: Lowest - Character Model Quality: Medium - Ambient Occlusion: Disabled - Best Texture Filtering: Disabled - Depth Blur: Disabled - Effect LOD: Enabled - High-Res Character Textures: Disabled - Light Adaptation: Enabled - Vertical Sync: Disabled - Motion Blur Power: Lowest
