Map completion locked behind story, (meta) events (or their daily rewards)

I understand what you are saying, but you seem blind to the fact that you've created the obstacle you're trying to overcome. Reread the post you just made. "I know there's an easy way to do it, but I don't want to use either that easy way or the other currently available ways that aren't as easy, I want there to be some other way." It's fine that you don't want to do the story, but you must see that you are the only thing standing between you and that option, which is what has created your problem . . .

 

Which is what I meant when I said that I don't feel like this is something that warrants a change in design. There is a method easily available to you, you've just chosen not to avail yourself of it. Which is fine, but it's not the game's fault . . .
