Mirage: Axes of Symmetry pathing on Vale Guardian

Yesterday I was doing Vale Guardian practices with my guild, and I was playing on my condi Mirage. On 2 occassions when I used Axes of Symmetry I teleported outside the arena, hit the outside of the wall on my way back in to hit VG, and instantly died. A quick fix was to not use Axes of Symmetry when VG was close to the wall.

 

This occurred on Sunday 15 October 2017, somewhere between 18:00 and 20:00 CET. (probably closer to 18:30-19:00 CET but I wasn't paying attention to the time)

We were playing in Spirit Vale (I'm just following Graile's "How to report game bugs" formula here)

My character is lvl 80, Ildrid Ildhjertet, profession is Mesmer, specialisation Mirage.

Was in a full squad on both occassions.

 

In order to reproduce the bug/glitch I used Axes of Symmetry when Vale Guardian was close to the outer wall of the arena. Since the teleports are random in nature it may be needed to use Axes of Symmetry a few times before it teleports the mesmer outside.

 

Not using Axes of Symmetry when close to the wall was a "quick fix", but I think it should be addressed. We managed to kill VG in the end. :)

On topic: Had a similar issue during the boss at the escort event, (can't remember the name of the boss), but I teleported to the wrong side of the door where the wargs spawn and couldn't contribute to the second half of the fight. I think a fix would be to add some sort of collission detection, so you can't teleport into/through walls intended to block off areas.

Mesmer since day one actually, leveled it back in the days when leveling Mesmer was like pulling teeth. :wink:

 

The joke was a reference to a running Blizzard Entertainment joke about small indie company with no resources /sarcasm
