    > Bearbow was garbage, yes, but it wasn't the only build a ranger could play. The main issue was that players playing this peculiar build for 'convenience' ruined the reputation of the ranger as a whole. I have a hard time recalling 4 warriors and a mesmer, if it was ever a thing it didn't last long. A strong PvE meta that last quite a bit was 4 ele and a thief/mesmer.

    > Well, nope, if anything, when they increased the pet's vitality, they took away a part of it's damage and it hurted the ranger quite a bit in PvE. What made a difference is when they made it resistant to non targeted aoe damage in PvE (The need to do it was proof enough that they wasted their time years prior with the increased vitality on the pet). I should also say that the first time they nerfed "guard!" hurted a lot QoL in PvE. If anything I'd say that in term of management the pet was better in it's early day than he is right now (sure it gained survivability, but it doesn't really compensate the shorter leash, the loss of damage and the loss of the original version of _"Guard!"_).

    > > I don't think any class mechanic has problems comparable to this, Ranger is bound to a pet that until he gets a reworking will always be bad because the problem is not in the specializations but at the base, he will be able to work well in PvE but in PvP / WvW where nothing has been done, nothing has changed, the problems have always been the same for 8 years.

    > I disagree, the necromancer shroud have been an issue in itself since release, Thiefs mechanic of stealth attack have been a balance issue since release as well, Elementalist attunment are to tied to the elementals traitlines and create quite a bit of issue as well, Mesmer is a total mess due to it's clone mechanic... etc.

    > The ranger's pet management was a lot better in the early game than it is right now. The pet used to be very usefull in WvW zergling in the early days, even for roaming it was good. Now, in the early days the way players played WvW was also very different than we do right now. You had to put on a fight to take over Towers and Keeps. I can recall clearly sending pets on enemy walls with _"Guard!"_ to kill defenders and destroy siege machines (even 1 shoting squishy thiefs there with birds). Like I can recall just as clearly sending my pet down the walls the same way to destroy trebuchets/catapults thanks to the very long leash.

So what would be the alternative Builds to Bearbow?

Those changes were mainly aimed at PvP, Anet applied the same changes in all game modes.

However it seemed to me an adequate compromise, greater vitality has nevertheless guaranteed more sustained damage by the pet, the only thing that I did not share was the modification on the leash.

And was it normal for a pet to do this? I do not think so.

I have never had problems with any of these professions and their mechanics.

I don't know any charr lore, but I can imagine that an imperator of a martial legion would absolutely despise turncoats who betray his legion? (esp the fuzzball who lured his legion away) To him, traitors could rank far lower than slaves, and it is also a personal affront to him

We know that this legion Charr is made up of spies and assassins, they may have a particular conception of what is considered "betrayal", I think this legion is on the side of the strongest or those with similar interests, it is more likely that Ash Legion has other purposes in this war and not Iron Legion.

  3. There are professions that have adapted better to the new Meta after the patches and others that have become garbage.

Anet has made major changes to weapons and traits and their use has changed a lot in pvp, the warrior's hammer is an example.

The problem is not the professions that make up the current Meta, the problem is the missing updates to make the other professions viable and the damage that has been lowered too much, even if Holo and Herald were nerfed, warrior and other specializations will remain garbage in every chance, useless to ruin other professions.

  4. If not even two players who quickly kill an opponent by attacking with coordinated action are considered normal, I don't know what gw2 players want anymore.

What does this post show? I've seen similar actions done by Misha and Sind in some live on Twitch, so Nerf Mesmer and Thief?

  5. Personally I don't like the idea that staff should become a condition weapon, as other users have suggested in other posts and discussions as well, I'd like to see the damage increased and that offers more CC / Support.

I would like Astral Wisp to be added to Solar Beam with the addition of a third ability to create a real chain of attacks.

Give us a new skill in slot Two that has no more than 5 seconds CD.

Ancestral Grace should also give Protection to allies and not just pets.

Vine Surge: I wish Druid with this ability could root the enemies around him, Radius 360

    Sublime Conversion: become a bubble.

    https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Soulbeast_-_Dual_Axe_Roamer

This build could be of help, with Leader of the Pack, birds and warhorn you can be of help to your group, it does not have very high damage but you will play your part without problems.

The build you mentioned is still usable even if the dps is lower but it is not recommended for team fights, they hardly end quickly it is better to use a build that guarantees a more sustained dps with a good defense.

If you still cannot have pets from the expansion, the Wolf and the Jungle Stalker are among the best in my opinion and easy to obtain, in these links you can see the positions.

The Jaguar and Krytan Drakehound are also excellent choices, have similar abilities, only the f2s change.

What I would use most of the time is the Jungle Stalker which with the f2 gives us Might as Boons, a good way to always maximize our damage.

If you don't want to wait any longer to get better pets, just use a Teleport to Friend and so you can get them by teleporting directly to their position with the help of a friend. :)

    > Ah right, yeah, Beastmode has such a long cooldown. So long. So much longer than Tomes. And it has so many requirements! It's so much harder to get into beastmode than Reaper shroud. You have to do...... and build up........ ! And then of course there's the problem of over-heating in beastmode.

    >

    > Wauw, I never thought about it like that before.

    >

    > I don't even think Ranger is a problem, I just enjoy your weak arguments :)

Guardian has 15 extra skills many of which are spammable and a tradeoff that never came and you're crying for 10 sec CDs, when then the beast skills have 25, 40 and 50 seconds of internal CD? lol XD

I'm seeing many Necro cry because they can't accumulate Life Force, maybe even using weapons by pressing 1 has become too complicated?

There is a detail that particularly strikes me for the Holosmith, their basic mechanic can be used with the specialization, it has not been removed as one of the pets.

  9. Each Mesmer spell is purple, the hands of the Revenants are colored by the legend that is also being used, Ele has a similar concept to Rev, etc ... they are manifestations of their magic and you should design your equipment not considering this or create a profession that does not use magic.
