    > Is Anet going to do something about this BLATANT price fixing. This is making an unfair experience to everyone that doesn't have DEEP pockets. A few of the top, Pieces of unidentified gear, all three flavors and this one is beyond unacceptable... Mystic coins. I think you should put a cap on these prices, so they can't be sold higher(which is only fair since it is unfair right now) or find what guild or group of people doing this and suspend their accounts. I have never been on to complain, but come on, I just want an even playing field like everyone else. Mystic coins LOCKED at 2G-420073 ordered. This isn't a supply and demand issue.

Best way to make this fair is to create an NPC that only sells Mystic Coins at 1g each. The value would never go higher.

  2. I did send a ticket in about this issue but I wanted to know if anyone else is getting hit with this.

I made 3 gem purchases on February 23th, 24th, and 26th. So far the first 2 transactions show as refunded back to my bank account. I used my credit card and these were authorized payments, but no clue why they were refunded without my knowledge. I never requested them and I'm worried this may effect my Guild Wars 2 account, or my bank account. I'll happily pay it back should an error be found, but did anyone else receive a refund that they didn't request?

Now its probably too late. **Let's hope they have thought of something for the expansion.**

Nope...according to their old update post on world restructure from 2018, Alliances are not going to be in an expansion (or so it wasn't at the time, who knows now.)

    No."

  4. I actually agree, the new skins should've been added to existing packs for those who purchased it (for free). It's greedy to force players to try their luck at getting skins to match sets they already paid good money for. But this game is unfortunately all focused on monetization and less on player base now so...it's expected of Anet, but they ain't getting that extra money from me!

    > This game has sadly become very stressing for since about 3 years because these days people only care about showing off everything and judge those (like me) who don't show off even though when having all that legendary and prestigious kitten such as legendary armor, weapons, backpacks, raid skins, titles and more. I hate to always have to justify myself to everyone only because I'm not an obnoxious showoff like them and actually care about other aspects of the game such as the lore that every character has a backstory and also an appearance fitting to their stories instead of clustering characters in such obnoxious effects. It seems like nobody of fellow veterans who are playing for 8 years (such as myself) here is playing for fun anymore...

    > Nearly every kitten time I take a look into lfg I see kitten like that and it makes me really think what this community has become.

I've actually been experiencing a ton of toxic player behavior in the last month. Mostly from WvW. People are just so quick to fly off the handle now, even when someone was not being rude with their words, it amazes me so much. Just tonight actually a guy in WvW had an attitude and kept responding to every little thing being said with a scowl, it was obvious and just last night the same guy was all nice and happy to everyone. I don't understand this community sometimes. Like is the real world getting to them or something that they have to act in such a way? This community needs a pick-me-up badly, of course not everyone is rude like that, but I see a lot of it when I play WvW and all I care about is getting stuff done for the team.

If the game survives to see the 3rd expansion. WvW is almost unplayable due to balance issues for classes, and for populations on each team. If I play late at night and want to get progress done, I almost can't because most people are either offline, doing something else, or they back away from making big moves so I cannot get anything done. I'm training a new character in there so I can't solo much yet in terms of roaming. People just aren't interested in WvW anymore, or the ones who are quickly lose that interest due to things that should be addressed. I actually think WvW should be removed entirely from the game. It's clear Anet doesn't care about it, and won't help fix things we've been asking about for years now. I love Guild Wars 2, but it won't last much longer if all they do is throw story updates at us. Ignoring the community destroys trust and ultimately kills games.

  7. I actually thought about this earlier. They should add a 4th team, make their color yellow so it's nice and bright for us to see, add a 4th home map for them and expand the EBG map to be one huge "four corners" kind of thing. I think we need additional maps anyways, something new and fresh.

  8. ~~Currently playing on Isle of Janthir server on NA side. I use Reaper and would like to join a WvW-based guild that doesn't require server transfers as that is expensive and I cannot afford the gems on it. Please contact in-game through Mail if I'm not online. Thank you! :) ~~ Moving to EU to find a Guild there.

My necro is currently set up as a WvW-only character, and he cannot use certain skills needed for this "work around". Anet needs to fix the issue instead of players trying to get around the error.

This doesn't work for everyone, they need to fix this issue ASAP. I tried getting Silver for 3 hours and used 3 characters with varying numbers of speed buffs/skills, including Raptor/Jackal for the ending but I was half a second too slow still. Plus there are 2 wooden pillars in the way at the final turn that I got stuck on a number of times and ruined what would've been successful runs.

    > I really feel bad for everyone having to read that. With behaviour like that you get nothing, you just alienate the devs that put their ideas, their work and a lot more into the game. You even annoy the majority of the players that normally play with you, new players that may join the stream because of the steam release.

    > If you don't like where the game is going, leave it or be constructive in your criticism.

    >

    > Anyways, thanks Anet and everyone working on it for the game you made. I still enjoy it - and even most of the community.

Why? Because they keep ignoring us when we voice the content we really want, and how many fixes this game needs before they should even consider pushing new content. The Trading Post was bugged up for several days recently and it's still happening despite bug reports. Plus the new Skimmer mastery achievement was a HUGE disaster. Bugged all over, including the new race. It's like Anet doesn't properly test new releases before rushing them out. I'm passionate about this game which is why I get so upset over these things. I want this game to succeed and the way things are going right now, it'll make people not want to play anymore in the future. They need to stop making new maps with episodes and just give us more story, because that's where the magic is (at least for me). Not 30 mins of story with 1.5 hours of map completion and a meta event that takes 2 hours to complete. This game could be better, but they're ignoring us. Alliances is a very good example of ignored updates that we really want. And every time I voice how I'd love for things to be better, someone is rude to me in the game, so why bother trying anymore? Nobody wants this game to get better it seems, or I'm just getting responses from the wrong ones. :/

    > Umm, so I take huge issue with the mount select vs bonfire reward for the issues on Monday. A number of my guild for example had to work during the day, so by the time we learned that the rollback had occurred we knew all of what had happened thanks to our Discord and being active on reddit and the forums. So a large number of us didn't even bother to log in because we were patient and either we knew that anything we did would either get reset, or then it was too late because the servers had been shut down (our raid that evening for example got canceled). So to have such a huge discrepancy in reward for the people who either chose not to log in or didn't even get the chance is above and beyond unfair in my opinion. To favor the players who either put "useless" effort into doing things in the game on Monday or to punish the people who work during the day by rewarding a discrepancy of 900 gems (which, the bonfires are pretty useless tbh). And now we're still being faced with horribly laggy and problematic servers. Absolutely not ok ANet. Everyone that was affected by the rollback over the weekend, aka logged in from the period that was affected by the rollback and got a heart attack on Monday, should be receiving the same compensation. It hurts you 0 to do so.

    >

    > Tl;dr: Compensation is absolutely not fair and needs to be adjusted. Everyone that logged in on the weekend and had stuff messed up on their account should get the same compensation.

I agree it is unfair. I tried logging into the game on Sunday and Monday prior to the server errors being discovered, and I was unable to connect to the game at all. I saw screenshots from other players on Reddit and Twitter stating there were connection issues, so I figured it was a normal thing, like maybe the servers were just being disrupted. Come to find out the rollback issue happened, and I tried logging in just to see if I could still make it to the character screen to see if any of them were deleted, or corrupted in any way. Nothing happened at all, thank goodness, however like others have said I lost nearly 3 days of gameplay time, and I had some achievements for SAB lined up to finish as well, but now it seems I'll have to wait for next year. I understand Anet doesn't have to compensate us at all, however I don't agree with giving a lesser 'reward' to those who intentionally ignored the login warnings and ended up being inside the "window" of the effected time frame - thus earning them the free skin. One thing I tended to notice in my time playing GW2, is that Anet doesn't really like giving out anything worth more than a few dollars at a time. It's usually Transmutation Charges, Black Lion Statuettes, Mini Eggs, or any kind of booster that is generally easy to get. Anet should just give everyone the skin contract that logged on in within 7 days of the effected period. If they didn't want to part with so many skin contracts, then select 1 of the skins to gift everyone affected. The most they lose out on is about 400 gem value per user vs the 1200 gem value of the contract that allows you to select the skin of your choice. Thank you for getting the servers as fixed as possible, but there are still bad connectivity issues that should be looked into. Bjora Marches, for example, is plagued with bad lag that has gotten me killed in small fights because it timed out for 3-5 seconds when trying to move and use skills.

  13. I say it's too hard for new players needing to start from scratch. There's so much content and information, it would be overwhelming to a newbie if they discovered how much there truly was. GW2 takes dedication and many hundreds/thousands of hours to complete most of the expansion episodes and regular storylines, as well as achievements, etc.

For players who have stuck with the game for a while and have majority completed story-wise, and unlocking all mounts, it's not hard at all.

  14. Fought Drakkar earlier since last night had the "disappearing act" glitch lol. The group I went with was large enough to get the DPS necessary to beat him in a decent time. However, the 1st minion didn't spawn properly at 60% because it seemed as if Drakkar's stomp mechanic overrode what it was suppose to do. We still won, but it was actually better not having 3 minions to fight. Saved us a lot of time.

  15. Coming back to this after a few more runs of Drakkar and it's starting to show some flaws.

From what I understand the phases move according to health % at these intervals; 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% and it seems to have difficulty scaling according to the size of the group of players fighting him. Of the last 3 Drakkar fights I was in, 2 failed from low dps/too much HP (possibly), and the 3rd that I was just attempting bugged out on us and ended right at the beginning (which I reported).

After the 2nd minion appears (40% mark), there are sometimes way too many minions spawning on the field and it seems to be pointless at times since 90% of the players focus on Drakkar and the minions are just sort of hanging around. By the 3rd minion phase (20%) it's even more hectic and they mostly get in the way rather than posing a threat.

Using melee up close on Drakkar is nearly impossible without taking significant damage from his feet unless you get in a good spot to avoid the stomping damage, or you wait for his "stun phases" after the 80% mark in the 2nd half of the arena. I brought this up in map chat, however instead of other players discussing creative ways to fight Drakkar, I was met with toxic responses (as usual). The toxic players try to be smart and are quick to dump on any content Anet launches in this game - I'm rather tired of this to be honest, and it makes it difficult for me to enjoy the game or have active discussions on how to improve the game.

Drakkar's scaling should be considered for a rework, and his health needs some kind of nerf so smaller groups could still have a chance at beating him if they do it correctly. He spends too much time moving around inside the walls, and I think this is where we lose a lot of time that could be spent trying to get his health down before time runs out.

Drakkar has potential that's for sure, and I can't wait to see what they implement in the future.

@Blur.3465 I think they scaled down his size because he was too big.

  16. I strongly disagree with those calling this boss "too easy" haha not even CLOSE to being true! I just logged off from a failed Drakkar fight because players didn't seem to understand a few things;

    - Don't stand under Drakkar's feet when he stomps (almost always kills everyone who stands there)

    - We are given 3 stages of portals/minions before the main boss to gather up the energy required to use the new powers on each type of creature AND Drakkar himself during the boss fight (Many people didn't seem to get this either)

    - You need a couple of the masteries completed for the Raven portals during the fight

The one thing I will agree with is the boss fight is timely, being twice the length of Tequatl's boss fight on a slow map (14-16 mins). I believe he needs to be at 80% to start the 2nd phase of the fight, and it takes quite a few times breaking through the wall to get there. I think if they shortened this to him only breaking through 3 times until he hits the 80% mark it would be better. The fight overall is refreshing and I truly believe in redeemed the game from those complaining it "lacks content". Those are the ones who race through new stuff in a day then complain until more stuff is developed. Slow down and enjoy each part of the game as it was intended.

I think Drakkar is well done, and the developers/designers should be proud of their work.

  17. I have a big problem with how Anet splits up mount skins from previously purchased packs. It's driving me insane because I have to spend a ton of money just to complete the entire sets. The ones I'm mainly concerned about are the Branded mount skins, and the Wintersday skins which I JUST purchased the pack for the original 5 mounts. Then they release the Skyscale Wintersday skin AND the Roller Beetle branded skin. I'm beyond angry, and I wish Anet would STOP monetizing the skins like this, because it makes it nearly impossible to get the entire set without breaking your wallet. The Skyscale and Warclaw skin packs are both 2,000 gems and they each have the Branded skin. I'm Canadian, so doing the math those packs are almost 50$ for me, EACH. Why can't you make each skin available for individual purchase so I can get the ones I want without having to take a chance on the mount license scrolls or being forced to purchase highly expensive packs just for ONE skin? Please PLEASE for the love of God Anet change this! I regularly buy skins, but this is making me not want to anymore.

  18. I have to write this here because what people said to me in-game was uncalled for as they didn't realize how serious I was being. Guild Wars 2 is a coping mechanism for me when I need time to myself, to heal, and to have a bit of fun. Ever since I started playing MMOs mounts have always been my favorite thing to have, and I try as hard as I can to be good enough to get my hands on whichever mounts I can.

In Sandswept Isles there was a huge conversation about the currencies (as most chats are now), and I brought up how I only have 2 characters who can help collect sufficient amounts of each currency to put my time-line at about 7 days to complete 5 of the 7 required at 250. By the way that's minimum 6 hours per day with only my main character being able to go to each map required. One other has 4 of the maps unlocked and the rest have only 1-2 each. I come from a low income family and having a computer strong enough to even play GW2 is a blessing from God. I've suffered from mental illness and chronic depression since 2012 and gaming has vastly improved my health over the years, and helped me improve reading skills, hand-eye coordination, memory, etc.

Needless to say, this game - like all others I've played before that stuck out to me - means a lot to me, and the Skyscale is a mount I really want to have in the game so I can feel proud of such a huge accomplishment. Nothing else makes me happy anymore (yes I'm being 100% serious, each day is a struggle), and our landlord is selling our house on us, so I have only about 2-3 weeks of time to play as much as I can before things start getting serious and I have to pack everything up. This computer is aging, and has gone through some things in recent years so I always worry it'll die one day and I won't be able to afford another PC as strong as it. That would crush me to be honest, and if the devs lowered the collections to 100-150 per currency you have no idea how much it would help me out. Not trying to single myself out, but I'm sure there are others in my position, or just feel broken because they may not know how quickly they can get things done so they can have the mount and be able to do things with it.

In the map chat I was called childish, and one person even went as far to make fun saying "wait until you have to buy a house", it's nowhere near the same kind of situation, and that kind of comment hurt me so much I had to log off before I saw something worse. It was a tough lesson though, I now realize most people don't really care about my feelings of any kind, especially in a gaming community where I use to enjoy making friends and talking about real life stuff. Now I just keep to myself because of the harassment that I accidentally attract when I tell people how I feel about things.

That's the last thing I'll say about the Skyscale, whatever happens is not up to any of us. Anet could easily ignore the feedback and keep everything as it is, which is totally fine. I just wish there was an easier way so I don't have to grind 6-8 hours/day in the next couple weeks to ensure I have all the currency required.

Thanks, hope you all have a great day and good luck with your Skyscales.

  19. So, after spending several hours on each map trying to get as many of the PoF resources as possible for the Saddle, I barely scratched a dent in how much I need since I (like many other) had a habit of consuming any currency I obtained during map events not realizing I'd need it later. So that sat me at 0 for every currency except Trade Contracts (which I spent most of on things I needed/wanted like minis, so I screwed myself over for that and I am 200 short now).

This is what I managed to obtain with only 1 character able to go to all locations required, and 1 other character able to get to 4 of the maps.

161 Kralkatite Ore, 57 Difluorite Crystal, 46 Inscribed Shard, 35 Lump of Mistonium (hardest by far to obtain), 38 Branded Mass. I haven't started on the material in Dragonfall yet since I'm saving it for last hoping it's easy.

With those numbers, it'll take me minimum 6 days to obtain majority. And I MUST play at least 1 hour per map to make sure I collect as much as possible before burning myself out on 2 characters. I'm not super rich, and I can't afford to buy character slots to max out my potential, and I also have run out of Teleport To Friend stones so I can't even get my alts where they need to go to maximize on farming - and more importantly - I don't WANT to sit at my computer for a week straight farming if I want this mount as quickly as possible. In my mind if I skip a day I miss out on a lot of progress which is why skipping days isn't an option for me. I want it done and over with so I can work on any masteries it needs, and use it to help me out in other areas of the game.

If they lowered each currency to 100-150 each instead of 250 it would significantly help players like myself. I actually quit a few days ago and had the game completely uninstalled from my PC. The only reason I re-installed is because it was eating me alive not being able to complete something I worked so hard to get with all the other mounts.

If Anet thinks I'll be spending money on Skyscale skins after this, they're mistaken. I spent 50$ on the Warclaw skins and 2 of them looked identical to each other with me only frequently using the Branded skin and Fire skin. Oh I'm in Canada too, so 10$ USD is 14$ CDN, which means I pay more for my Gems, Expansions, etc.

I would greatly appreciate it - as would many others - if you could lower majority of the mats needed to 100-150. The only ones that are of most concern are Branded Mass, Lump of Mistonium, and Inscribed Shard. If I can get all materials in 3-5 days instead of 7-10 it would help more than you think.

I really love Guild Wars 2, another reason I came back aside from wanting the mount finished. Please make the necessary adjustments so it's easier for us to obtain the Skyscale. For those who already unlocked it, you could easily compensate the accounts with an NPC that gives back the excess material consumed. Or give everyone a free Aurene skin haha that would make me happy.

Thanks for reading, I'm stressed as you can tell since I'll have to play minimum 5-8 hours per day for 7-10 days minimum to gather everything I need.

  20. > @"Trise.2865" said:

    > How many times do we have to tell people not to blast through content in 10 minutes? to take their time and enjoy it? They never learn...

But that's up to us to go through the content quickly or not. I personally hate waiting, and these time gates are making it more of a chore to get them finished because I want the mount for my account to be completed on that front. The episode I felt was a toss-out, they could've gone for a more surprising twist to the ending, but I'm not a GW2 writer so I can't comment my opinion. I stress over completing collections for mounts on time so I can be able to do things other players can. The Warclaw was one of those stressful things for me because I had never been in WvW before and I had to completely learn a new gamemode. After everyone got their mount WvW pretty much died again. Tonight I waited for the daily reset to finish feeding my Skyscale, only to be met with "you have to wait until the next daily reset to continue the collections" yay. So I looked up the next part, and found yet another huge collection in a jumping puzzle...I hate jumping puzzles with a passion and now I have to stress over completing that so I can have the mount. I'd rather pay Gold to have it quickly so I can start working on the masteries since they take a bit of time to max out. I'm not trying to sound rude here, but it bothers me a lot, and I feel sorry for brand new players because there's so much content to get through now it's almost a bad idea to start off from scratch. I do love Guild Wars 2, but I can't stand these collections for mounts. Nothing I can do about it though, the only people who will benefit from the cooldown reductions (from 24 hours to 2 hours) are anyone working on the Skyscale after May 28th, which will be a very tiny percentage of people. Useless update for all of us still fighting to complete the collections right now. I'll wait, but this is probably the last mount I work for, it turned me bitter towards the game which is sad because I was in love with GW2 throughout winter 2018-2019 while playing through PoF. Anyway enjoy your day everyone, those are just my thoughts so please don't hold it against me.

  21. I was inspired so much by this game the past couple months. I'm also an artist so I decided to put my skills to the test and create pieces for Tequatl, Aurene, and Kralkatorrik. I may do other pieces in the future, and I also am planning a fanfic on the latest Living World episode as well. Enjoy!
