I usually create a new level 80 character either if there's a new build I really think I'll enjoy or if I get a new idea for a character that I really want to try out. It usually results in me being disappointed and going back to my main character though, so I'm trying to cut the habit lol.

Does anyone happen to know what the most effective way to get spirit shards quickly is? I know that each tone of knowledge gives you one if you use it on a level 80 character, and that you get 3 with the daily and they sometimes drop from loot boxes, but would PvP, wvw or possibly farming silverwastes or something result in getting them faster?

The only invulns that I don't mind are the elite meditation for guardians and the utilities mist form and elixir s. The reason is that they have long cooldowns and make it so that you can't perform new actions while invulnerable. The passive elixir s on top of the utility is kind of obnoxious in my opinion though, and all of the others are just so passive that they might as well be renamed to "[profession's crutch]." I prefer active defenses that make it so that you have to dedicate to defending yourself and sacrifice your offense as a result rather than just pushing a key and being invulnerable for a while and sacrificing nothing for it.

I always thought they were extra keen on guardians just because guardians have always been good at everything and they seem to be the most consistently balanced profession. Eles, necros, revenants, engineers and rangers have all seen their days at being the most useless professions in the game. Thieves, mesmers and warriors have usually been pretty good but never so bad that seeing someone playing them made everyone around them rage about their uselessness, and never as consistently in demand as guardians in every game mode.

I'm happy with tempest. I can't speak for how others feel about their professions of choice though. PvP can be a little challenging because some people aren't even willing to try if they see a staff ele on their team, but if my team doesn't give up before the match even starts then we usually do well. :) All other areas of the game are very fun on tempest as well.

It makes no difference. Even if you play a female people usually just assume the player is a male anyways. Your actual gender has no effect on the game.

I like to run around and talk to NPCs, kill things, and find pretty spots to take screenshots. When I'm feeling extra lazy I run around and gather stuff and do dailies, and when I'm looking for something more challenging I open up the achievements tab and go for one I haven't gotten yet. I still want to get the legendary trinket and the Bifrost though, so I haven't quite reached the point where there's nothing else cosmetic that I want. Even if I do, there will be plenty of things I still want to do, including the story.

You're already unique because it's what you do in the game that makes you unique, not which profession you choose.

For me, new maps with a well written expansion of the story and fun things to do is all I really want. POF is incredible and I feel like anet really outdid themselves with this expansion. If they can make another expansion just as well and unique then I'm sold. :3

Yay, more bugs...
What is the mother of all issues in WvW ?

What makes me leave wvw more often than anything else is the lag spikes when two blobs intercept. It gets so bad sometimes that the whole map lags and you can't do much of anything no matter where you go.
