  1. When you soloq in plat tier, this is the most relevant factor that will determine if you gonna win or lose rating.

The solution: add an option that u can enable, which will assure that the average rating of your teammates will be very close to your own rating

I'll already type your reply here, so u don't have to bother: but that will increase q times

But would that really always be the case?

-> It could also increase the amount of people q'ing

-> There is a group of players that would like to play a few games not in prime time, but wont do it because they are likely to roll in a clownfiesta and its throwing rating out of the window

-> Give these players, probably a minority, who would rather have longer q time, a guarantuee not to be rolled into a clownfiesta

-> This would encourage these players to actually play the game again and be less toxic

  2. Any team in a ranked game has 1 to 4 (depending on the rating) players with one purpose: being a tanky healthbar on a node and spamming aoe. They have no mechanical skills, they have no knowledge of the meta and don't know how to rotate. They just run in a straight line to a random node and faceroll their keyboard on that node.

The worst thing about this: these people are very often the deciding factor in the game. These players end up with some average gold rating regardless of any skill or knowledge. Because of the low population, these players will also show up in high rated games. If they tank a capped node, they can sometimes add a lot of value to your team. This is certainly the case if one of the enemy tanky players decides to 1v1 that. A tanky player 1v1ing on an enemy capped node, suddenly has no value and becomes almost uncarryable.

Every team in ranked has this type of braindead players and the **completely random interactions** between them almost always decide the outcome of the game.

  3. How to balance?

    Best

    1. frequent small changes -> what was promised

    2. infrequent big changes -> what we had

    3. infrequent small changes -> what we have now

    Worst

Nr. 1 would be best for balance, but that's not what we got.

Before rework the game was not balanced, but now it isn't either. The only difference now is that whatever is OP, stays OP for like a year until the meta changes and its boring af.

Anet does not want to invest in a nr. 1 approach, so can we please just revert to strategy nr. 2 please.

  4. 90% of the ppl who took pvp seriously are gone. you are asking to a very small group of that remaining 10% who regularly post on the forums...

I dont know what you're trying to achieve here but you might as well added only one option in this poll.

    > I have never used the Corsair program, however custom KB keys need to be assigned a normal US keystroke. So what skills or actions are you trying to assign to the G keys? If you are trying to assign weapon skills, such as 1-5, then in the Corsair program, assign those G keys as 1-5. As GW2 will not understand what custom keys or macro keys are, and you need to assign a normal US key to the custom G keys in the corsair program, at which point, when you push the G key, it's telling the OS on the computer that you are actually pushing #1 on the KB, rather than G1 which means nothing to it or the game.

I've tried this for my utility skills:

    - in corsair -> macro key G1 = 8 and G2 =9

    - in gw2 -> utility skills = 8 and 9

So when I press my "macro keys" G1 and G2 it uses the utility skills, however I can't just get it to function normally at all with keys like shadow step or whatever that has ground targeting.

  6. I have corsair K55 keyboard. I like the placement of the G1 to G6 "macro keys", but i dont use any macros. I would like to use these as normal keys in gw2 but can't.

    The problem:

    - when the corsair program is running just nothing happens when you try to keybind

    - when i disable the corsair program G1 will just keybind as '1", G2 as "2", so it removes the original 1 and 2 keybind...

Why is this so hard ffs?

  7. I detect a lot of strong feelings about this and maybe those should be discussed in this thread.

In this pvp season there has been a general consensus that scourge is not good. I'm not a necro main, but I have been playing some mender/sanctuary scourge with wells on an alt I use for meme builds and it went from gold3 to 1600-1700 rating within a day on soloq with 0 skill needed. The only trick/problem for it to work: you can never ever use your shades. The entire idea of scourge was built around shades, but all the previous shade nerf really meant for scourge in spvp was: "you no longer have shades". It is the equivalent of making a balance patch that says "soulbeast is too strong and therefore it now dies when merging with the pet".

    1. The scourge specialisation is built around shades and this reversal was necessary for shades to even exist in spvp.

    2. Yes, I think scourge will be OP and it needs some nerfs other than removing shades from the game

    3. Extra: the removal of the well trait is a good thing because it somewhat forced you to either take the trait and go full wells or not take the trait and no wells. Although I don't really like the idea of wells, scourge builds with just 1 well equiped based on the meta would be a better situation.

  8. I alt tab and do other stuff when I have to wait in the game.

Q pop: = gw2 turns orange in task bar

Game start = gw2 turns orange in task bar

3v3s first game starts = gw2 turns orange in task bar

3v3s second, third, fourth or fifth game = nothing happens

So I can't alt tab between games or I risk being afk while the game has started....

Is it just me or is this a bug?
