    > so OP..i have had the same question as you and my journey this last week to find not only the best class/spec to complete as much as I can solo while also not being required to play on the spaztic level of a lord hizen has been frustrating and expensive by way of gems and gold.

    >

    > depends on how hard you want to work for that bounty, or that champion. some just can't be solo'd without a very specific class or spec (looking at you kitten toxic spider queen and your damned cocoon), but a lot of the classes posted here are a lot of work to play at the level that does solo.

    > i started farting around with champions in pof with a core power necro minion master, unlocked reaper and did the same thing and y'know what? i found the simplicity of core necro and the fact taht shroud lasts sooo much longer to be far more relaxing and just as effective if not a little slower to kill.

    >

    > took ranger from 2012 into pof unlocked the points made a soul beast and found that if i didn't already know all of the mechanics of the particular champion/elite/whatever i was going to be downed, even in the newly tradeable trailblazer stuff.

    >

    > i'm going to try a scrapper next. they look braindead easy to play which is weird considering it's attached to an engineer, but they seem obscenely powerful for the effort you put in. not having a ranged option could be hard when you try to do some stuff in old tyria like the swamp event in queensland, but who says you cant slot a grenade kit and just chuck when you can't melee? my problem is i despise core engineer and i can't wrap my brain around a core engineer that is going to get all of those pof points to unlock scrapper considering i didn't have to learn the fights on my core necro - she bullied herself and abused fully all of those champions without trying - but i'm also sooo bored of necro (and everyone and their mother is a necro, which i find a turn off along with halatosis and webbed toes).

I suggest you try aliam's fire weaver from the elementalist thread. His build is not only solid, but its really cheap as it uses mainly Dire gear which can be bought of the TP.

    > Alac Renegade is quite boring in fractals and raids. But the class is great in every game mode.

That's what I'm afraid of. This means when im playing group content, im more or less expected to be alac. I enjoy paluing strikes with me HB but my god is DH boring.....the same old spin2win combo since launch day

  3. Got really bored of my guardian and I want to concentrate on another main that is almost as versatile (dps or support).

Ranger and Revenant seems the 2 classes that can do both well as they have Druid and Alacrigade for support other than general DPS.

Help me decide which one to main so I can go ahead and focus on getting them geared their proper build.

  4. If ur comparing reaper and deadeye, then yes, alot of the posters above had given very insightful comments.

But it all goes out if the window if u add scourge as an option.

Reaper/Scourge can cover an extremely wide spectrum compared to Deadeye/Daredevil.

  5. Lord Hizen just came back, and he will be doing solo videos for every class.

His mirage and condi herald is old vid but still works.

His current new video series currently has Berserker, Soulbeast and Firebrand.

For Weaver, u can check out Aliams post above.

So currently, Herald, Mirage, Weaver, Zerker, Soulbeast, Firebrand, and Weaver have solid videos so far.

    Pick your poison.

    > > So this is nothing new, the good old core necro, trailblazer, condi immortal faceroll necro. But now when people have started perfecting them they have become a real problem. It's got extremely high condi dmg, high condi duration, they can re-apply them with ez, they take virtually no damage at all and it doesn't matter if you rotate your interrupts on a Korean Tekken player level, they can just stand there and tank the damage while stunned or dazed. And if you manage to get them low enough they have a full 30k bar of shroud, that they use to recharge their health with vampirism and life steal. And then the cycle continues, full shroud -> full health -> full shroud -> full health.

    > >

    > > It can be countered if you play like an extreme coward and out of combat constantly or play a build specifically for taking down this exact build, but then again, they can just kite you to nearest tower if they see they are losing.

    > >

    > > Inb4 "Use resistance LUL". Yeah you will need 1 minute of resistance if you wanna take them down since re applying condis after a cleanse is a peace of cake.

    > >

    > >

    > > What to do about it? I don't know, I think the problem lies with trailblazer being a thing that gives extreme tankiness and all the damage a condi class needs. But arena net already hard nerfed mirage and other condi builds so trailblazer for them is the only way to at least relevant.

    >

    > omg you made my day xD. this video was obviously made as a joke with a joke build. this guy is even playing with race skill to disengage. in real fight vs non-bot player its useless. god, why are all this eotm main players always thinking they can judge about balance?

Lol he's not using snow leopard to disengage. He's using it for stealth stomps.

Yup, they are good roamers. Open space WvW gives them alot of kiting space, esp for builds like condi/immob druid.

    > I currently have a full set of ascended berserker armor that I made for my dragon hunter. I don't have a lot of gold/resources and I'm thinking of switching out to revenant (too many guardians around ;) ). I'm only in T1 fractals at the moment though looking to get up through the ranks. Do you think it's worth stat swapping all of the gear to diviners for the short term, then build more pieces for berserkers for when I have the AR/potions to get boon duration there? I've started enjoying strikes recently too and from what I can tell you need to be in almost full diviners outside of fractals to get 100% alacrity uptime?

Strikes are straightforward enuf that u can just buy a full exotic Bersekers set off the TP.

And good luck stat swapping to Diviners, its not an overnight thing (Serpentite Jewel is LOL), so dont be in a rush. When u stat swap one piece, then u buy a Berserker Exotic to replace it, so go slowly.

  9. If ur putting in the effort to get full ascended, then its a no brainer that it has to be Diviners. Its expected from almost every group content, and the exotic version is equally annoying to get (so might as well ascended).

Anything else like Bersekers or Viper or Harrier, u can just get the exotic version of it and u will still do good. Berserkers is easiest as u can just buy the set off the TP.

Sustain better in PVE? Nothing is better at that than condition Herald now. They have been crazy good for a long time, being able to solo meta events like the 4 Djinn events solo etc.

Sunqua Peak Fractal Challenge Mode Solo

    > The only thing that I'm not 100% sure on is if Condi Thief and Condi Zerker can solo stuff particularly well. The former because there's not much support for Condi builds in the class (Though, I'm reasonably sure that there could be a Condi DD build that would function for this purpose) and the latter because that 300 toughness loss hits the tankiness pretty hard.

That weaver guy soloing everything uses all Dire gear actually

    > I'm gonna say I've been skeptical of what you've been selling, but in all honesty that video above is impressive. I haven't gotten round to building a condi set for my light armor classes yet but it sure as hell is going to move up the priority list.

I tried his build as a new Weaver not knowing what my skills does and I was able to solo some Champs. And the good thing about his is the Dire set is very accessible and u just have to buy off a full exotic set of it and ur good to go.
