Hell, 6 months ago a dev posted on reddit the servers were having serious issues.

Posted once more they were looking into it.

And nothing since.

To go from something that worked across your entire account, free, unlimited build storage, free, could swap legendary pieces from shared inventory slots, free, easy to use, etc... to this abomination that limits you drastically even if you spend the 360$ to buy all the slots.

Yea. There's no comparison.

I left when it was implemented and won't return.

Split wvw from guild wars completely and sell it to a dev to create it as a seperate game with devs that actually care about the game mode.

That's about the only way I'd come back.

Since the debacle called "templates"

All yall saying the devs are spread too thin, picking game modes, blah blah blah.

Its proven they had been pulling devs from gw2 to work on outside projects for years while game modes were being neglected.

Ncsoft did the lay offs and we were told more people would be put back on gw2 and less than 3 months later they started hiring unreal engine, and console devs so they are still obviously working on things other than gw2.

Every time us PvPers and WvWers complained we were shut down, deleted, or told to speak with our wallets.

Well guess what. Now all of you are feeling the neglect.

So. Speak with your wallet.

Lack of an expansion, nor the flop that is icebrood saga made me quit gw2. It wasnt the fact that anet was taking resources from guild wars 2, again, and working on other projects while guild wars 2 had massive issues.

In the 2 1/2 years I played I spent thousands of dollars on this game, across multiple accounts.

When the triple monetized and poorly implemented build templates was released, I left for good.

I kept my light legendary set in shared inventory slots, and used arc templates to swap builds between classes.

It was so handy I made each weight class set legendary armor. Then started on weapons. Maxed shared inventory slots.

Anet came along with their half assed attempt at loadouts, nerfed it, and triple monetized it.

Done.

Voted no because it made me quit the game until it's not wildly monetized and they fix legendary gear.

I've spent my money buying bag slots on multiple accounts. Shared inventory slots to share legendary armor across multiple toons.

Your implementation of templates is trash at best and directly interferes with how I played.

I have since uninstalled and will only consider changing that if you fix this abomination.

It would cost me 118$ to gain back, SOME, of the functionality I had before with arctemplates. I dont care about bag space as the characters i played had maxed it out, and had legendary everything.

And you are making the same assumptions the OP is making, without any proof.

It's easy to be dismissive and say the game isn't dying or dead, but neither you, nor the OP of this thread know exactly what the population of the game is. If it's in decline or not, etc...

You point at revenue and profits, but if the game was so stable and profitable why would NCsoft fire 143 people, why did all the founding members of anet leave?

The only metric we have as to what the playerbase is doing is world population in WvW, which is in heavy decline since the same time as last year, and other people's observations. Claiming the size of the playerbase is larger than other games without having any way to prove it, while actively dismissing other people's observations is hypocritical.

The wvw cancer forums died and evolved into a discord server that is now equally pretty much dead.

I've spent more money on this game than any subscription.

What have I received?

A laggy bug filled game mode that hasn't received any content or fixes for said problems. Oh and empty promises.

There was an attempt, singular, to bring a new map into WvW, with heavy elements of pve, that the majority of players rejected as garbage, because despite saying so, they have no idea of what to add to WvW because they dont know what the players actually want.

To this day, very few guilds actually enjoy desertbl.

Of all the servers I, and my alts, have been on, only 3 or 4 guilds I've played with actually knew how to traverse it properly.

There has been hundreds, if not thousands of threads offering suggestions on what to add to WvW.

Too late now.
