  1. I understand what you're wanting but it's not going to work in this game. The best method for that type of change would need to be implemented within the Matchmaking Algorithm itself; placing classes on teams based on Profession and Builds. I.E it places an even amount of bunkers on each side, separating double soloQ professions, etc.

     

    Reason being, *Role* segregation is much like telling people to play a different class, a class that's absolutely needed but *this is not a Moba/OW game* where everyone multiclasses efficiently. It would be 100x better if Anet just did this in the background, deep within Matchmaking but... that would need class specific queueing; a queue system that prevents class swapping so matchmaking can do it's job better.

     

    Other than that, I agree with #1. I feel mmr should be restarted every two seasons.

  2. @Everyone, I too want an acknowledgement of an accomplished armor set. I am also more thankful that we can even get Legendary Armor in PvP. Appreciative enough to make a thead about it because I feel we don't have enough of these type threads. If you don't agree that's fine. I'm not going to argue as to why you or any other person feel the way they do towards PvP rewards.

    Though I agree that match manipulation of some form or another happens, that's not the sole reason why these certain players with hundreds of games remain in the top 250, season after season. Many of these players don't match manipulate, that's seen in the number of games they've played.

     

    And all you other imprudent players afraid of a little baby-booming PvE'rs zerging up a storm in the bronze leagues.... what's the concern? We NEED a strong playerbase in PvP... platinum players don't get made overnight. PoF expansion would be perfect for this new wave of players attempting to weep the rewards - we will all be relearning our classes and theory crafting builds. There's no other perfect time for a new wave of PvP'ers than now.

  3. A couple questions

    * Does the barrier on the rune have an ICD?

    * Does the barrier effect have an end timer; will it only last for a couple seconds?

     

    From just the text it looks as if a barrier will be applied everytime you leap, which could be a thing if every class only have 1 or 2 leap skills. Except Mes & Thieves have spammable leap skills so.. surely it has an ICD and a 3sec end timer because no rune except Guardian Runes has a spammable effect.

  4. There's a Quickness build that's probably better than core power bursts simply because you're hitting faster.

     

    The coefficient on Axe auto is pretty good too. I would be afraid of power FB rather than core power bursts to be honest.

    To answer your first question, he gains a legendary armor, a set that _should_ be a lot cheaper and not as time consuming to get compared to PvE. This assumes this player solely plays PvP. Sure quite a few PvP players don't PvE or WvW but you still can't argue about the easy-to-obtain armor set.

     

    Not sure how this is more directed to PvE players when it would take months (some a year) for them compared to weeks (or instantly) for a PvP player.

    ...my above notions is about as silly as this thread is. Why debate a much needed social forum implementation, of which, nearly _every_ popular and ever-so-crowded forum website has? (WoW forums, Reddit, etc)

     

    In my experience; if a post is unpopular, it's because it's was not a well received post. That's a fact that doesn't need to be fact-checked.

  7. I know I was a bit critical about wanting some form of externally-expressed **Glory ** for having or completing the Legendary PvP Armor set. I retract that notion completely now that I've started crafting it. Simply put, for those who have already dedicated themselves to the Leagues since Season 1, it's easy to obtain. So I understand the political stance Anet took on not changing the armor's looks when upgrading to Legendary (i still like my original idea though!)

     

    Yes, I know the armor set will essentially be another grind based item in PvP but then again, everything in this game is. Yet it will still be an accomplishment for certain players like myself who have already dedicated a lot of time to Leagues since Season 1 and have created a lot of the armor the moment it was launched. I have no regrets for starting this crafting path and have everything to gain from it as I'll be participating in WvW in the future. Theory crafting will be a breeze in the PoF expansion so I'm looking forward to that as well.

     

    For us players with no current carrot-on-a-stick motive, we have another objective to obtain. Those of you who don't care for Legendary Armor, already partook in the achievement unknowingly while it will take many new player several seasons to get a single armor piece.

     

    So again, I like to take this time to thank the Devs for implementing more PvP Legendary gear to us SPvP players.

  8. The armor set was obtain from the implemented August's 8th PvP's Legendary Armor release. I'm not going to do the exact math but it took some where around 2,500 gold for all the matts to make the Gifts. For some, this is a common expectation but extremely cheap for Legendary armor crafting in general. I started out with nothing when I attempted this set and I do understand these armor's are essentially freebie's if you have the gold and/or matts. But for us PvP'ers who literally do nothing but pvp... it was difficult to start. (literally didn't know a thing about crafting... a lot of wiki reads and guides on my end).

    Once I get the boots towards the end of this season to complete the armor set, i'll be doing WvW Firebrand theory crafting, for the first time. I've already joined a WvW guild (originated from SPvP) so i'm excited in that regards.

    HoT specs we're technically suppose to be on par (a different way to play) with PoF specs.

     

    ... and HoT was suppose to be on par of Core but we all ow that never happened haha.

     

    All I will say is, what Anet has said about HoT vs PoF, is more true than what they've said about Core vs HoT.. we'll just have to see.

    All seriousness, as a DH main since 2014 I'm curious what other profession's think about Balance in the game. I mean, Guard's worse patch ever was in Season 2 yet I hit top division as a solo player. I just made it happen.

     

    So other than Vent Rev and Condi thief (currently), what else is breaking matchmaking for players?

    The same hammer guard tried using a burn burst build and completely butchered it :(

    Only met 1 hammer guard.. didn't have any issues... maybe try running condi bursts. That usually does the trick because They're Hammer Guard - literally 0 range and condi cleanse options.

     

    This is not comparable to Vent Rev. Only reason Hamguard (I guess is a thing?) is around is because Vent Rev has no CC's so that's 1 class it (maybe?) counters efficiently than other DH builds.

     

    ..which wouldn't be a bad idea except you don't know who's Bunk and who's not.

  12. They added a 2v2 map. And as predicted, it's just sitting in the abyss, collecting abyss dust, contemplating on making abyss dye babies.

     

    We really need a 2v2 queue or at the very least, a seasonal game mode between seasons.
