This, just yesterday we tried to do the wisp part of the Swampland Fractal SIX TIMES and people keep dying because they didnt know the fractal and brought shitty builds to the game, and today we had a wipe THREE TIMES on Molten because we had a team of thiefs with pistol, sword weavers with also shitty builds. Also I was playing as a healer and none of them would listen to how to any advice.

Someday Ill buy a nice skin for the Jackal and start using it more, to be honest thats the only reason I dont use it more often.

  3. Quickbrand go for power, Guardians dont use Condi in fractals and the dps elitist will kick you if you dont generate enough damage to add to the group overal damage.

Also, as a Healbrand main I can tell you heal is very necessary in fractals T4, specially in reactor Sirens reef and others.

Ok perhaps "very japanese oriented" was too much but according to the wiki:

"In Guild Wars Factions, the Empire of the Dragon was inspired by a blend of different East Asian cultures, whereas Kurzick and Luxon names were respectively more German- and Greek-flavoured. The overall art direction for the Kurzicks was heavily inspired by Gothic architecture.

The name of Kaineng City may be a reference to Kaifeng 开封, a major ancient capital of several dynasties in China.

The design of Kaineng City was inspired by Kowloon Walled City.[34]

Shing Jea vocally pronounced in Mandarin means 'Star 星 Cape 岬', Shing Jea Island literally means "Cape Island of Stars"

And instead of Virtues, the mechanic could change to Codes, or Bushidos, each reflecting a different Samurai code that they follow and adhere to. As far as skill types, still unsure what those would be. Marks maybe? Or something completely new, like Empowerments, self buffing skills that make the Samurai stronger.

Hell yeah, Cantha is very Japanese oriented so this would be perfect for a new Guardian class :D

    > Guardian got 2 of these covered: damage dealer (dragon hunter) and support (firebrand). That firebrand got nerfed in PvP does not change the fact that the elite spec is primarily designed to be a support class.

    >

    > Barrier might work and could also cover the low health pool you mention, but this barrier application should be just for themselves, similar like scrapper is working. I think another approach might be better, tho, since scrappers are already the barrier bruisers. Maybe they can give guardians other defensive mechanics instead, like giving them more access to mobility and evades.

I think a Spear Guardian would be really cool as a bruiser, imagine this: The spear is used to stab multiple times the oponent and do crits and could be used with a shield to give more defense, It could also have a charged attack and a feint, perhaps a condi like vulnerability since the spear could penetrate defenses, insta recipe for a Guardian bruiser :)

  7. Im trying to do the Griffon Adventure on the Festival but I cant get to the fourth checkpoint (the big ascension) I usually go to the first one, dive using v then flat to get to the second one and when I reach the third one im out of momentum, what Im doing wrong? thats the last achievment I need for Festival achiev completion and its driving me crazy not being able to do it :(

  8. As a Guardian main it bothers me to no end that I shout "retreat" when we are charging at an enemy while giving my party swiftness , wouldnt make more sense if it was called something like "Charge" or "Onward" ? I mean we have "Hold the Line!" "Stand Your Ground!" "Save Yourselves!"(Draw conditions from nearby allies to yourself) and retreat that sounds like defeat :/

    What do you think?

  9. My first character was a Human thief because I was like " I always play Templars Paladins Crusaders Guardians" then I got super bored of my human thief, Nuked that character and made a human Guardian, I liked the class but playing a human got boring really fast, so I kept that Guardian as a backpack character and now my main is an awesome Charr Healbrand named Charrkion Lorekeeper, with book backpack and Flameseeker Prophecies as a a Shield :D

    > Firebrand is great for this if played correctly. I did this on HB yesterday on T4 fractals yesterday. You primarily use trident. All the skills on land with books are the same as underwater.. literally don't have to change anything - you just get a mainhand weapon that gives AoE heals on auto/skill 2, have a CC and more importantly a short cooldown AoE projectile destroyer.

    >

    > I run virtues/honor/firebrand not the valor/honor version. Virtues: down/mid/mid. Also you don't need full Harriers. You can upkeep 100% quickness with the 82.37% boon duration breakpoint (I think that's the point if I remember correctly - at work now so I can't check my gear) then pump the rest into heals. I managed to get somewhere around 1600healing power or something like that, while upkeeping all necessary boons - this allows me to switch builds for maximum healing when needed or maximum DPS with lowered heals on easier encounters. What this allowed my guardian to do is literally 1 shot with F2 tome people to full health and the periodic heals from virtues, symbols, Regen, keep them near permanently topped off. The fractal with the robot cats for example, you don't even need to play with the fan, you can just DPS and outheal all incoming damage including the poison gas.

Im adding you so we can discuss builds :)
