    > We all want more armor sets. I think that you may be misunderstanding the discussion? It isn't that we don't want more, it's that we've already been told why Anet is producing them the way that they are now along with the reason for doing so and some people appear not to accept that.

Also giving new armor sets as actual in-game rewards is by far the better way to do it.

  2. If you're going to make suggestions that boil down to "make the mount worthless", have the balls to say that outright instead of trying to be sneaky about it.

  3. All jackal skins should have thematically appropriate teleports effects, like how the mesmer jackal does. Also the shrine guardian has really dumb dye channels. It should be upper body/lower body/saddle/particle effects instead of entire body/saddle/saddle/particle effects like it currently is.

My favorite skins are the ones that actually make changes to the base model (like the Koss rabbit, two-horned raptor, whale/shark skimmers, a bunch of the jackals, the crow/eagle/hawk/snow leopard griffin, and that one new beetle with the ridged shell).

    > Regardless, the reason ANet nerfs some farms (notably Lake Doric, Istan, and AB Multi) is that the _relative_ amount of income was destabilizing. Those choosing to farm earned much, much more than those doing other things, even other farms. That discrepancy is ultimately bad for the game. Istan affected the price of ecto, rares, exotics, etc in ways that primarily benefited the farmers, at the expense of those doing other content.

    > The only surprising thing to me is that ANet took so long to do anything about it. (I am not, however, surprised that they have done a poor job of explaining their reasons.)

In this particular case, the reason is crystal clear: people were drawing out the Amala fight by farming the spawning enemies. I'm honestly surprised they didn't just remove loot from the enemies in the event altogether, that's usually their response to this sort of thing.

    > I think the last 3 patches Anet devs balance team have been sucking pretty hard. Overall though, Anet have 3 major issues: first they do recognize when a specific build is a problem, but rarely put the effort to understand why. This why you see changes that do not make much sense. Example, Anet efforts to make guardian spirit weapons sPvP viable. You can go to wiki and see the changes (of which some started as PvP only).

    > Second, Anet almost completely ignores unused skills/traits. I sometimes feel like their moto, if no one uses it why fix it.

"Anet never tries to improve underused skills" I say literally one sentence after talking about a line of underused skills they've repeatedly improved.

    > Not sure what was wrong with Chrono btw. Someone enlighten me please? I never found them difficult to fight. Mirage, on the other hand, is hands down broken to the core and that infinite clone spam + condi application definitely needs to go.

Chronomancer being the end-all-and-be-all of PVE support is what's wrong with it. That should never have been allowed in the first place, and there's no way around nerfing it now.

    > I should have known we would get a retaliation patch because of the ncsoft layoffs and its here. I mean deadeye and renegade changes you might as well have just remove them from the game. Based off other posts too its pretty much anything pof if it was reworked or not is going into the garbage. Something must be coming in some form to actually be fun gameplay wise or something because it feels like buying any expansions is just a waste of money now.

It's not "retaliation", this is the balance patch they already had planned for this week before it got delayed.

    > Totally disagree with that. It's not that people didn't want DBL. People were excited about it during the previews. What ended up happening is the map ended up being very bad for encouraging fights due to its size, that stupid oasis event in the center, falling damage (which killed more people than people killed people), and how confusing it was to navigate the map. For these reasons, people stopped playing there and very quickly. Anet fixed a lot of these things and unfortunately the damage has been done. People don't play there now, not because it's bad but because of PTSD, and other people who don't have this PTSD don't play there because no one else does.

Or, to put it somewhat more bluntly: instead of actually adapting to the DBL, the playerbase threw a tantrum and stubbornly refused to do so. It's not even that complicated or difficult to navigate if you have the slightest sense of direction.

    > I'm in the same boat for legendary armor as well. I will never have time to do what it takes to get those items but it would be nice if I could buy it outright. I can already see the posts now saying if you don't have the time that's too bad. Well time is money and I don't have the time but I do have the money. If they want me to buy gems they need to have items that I want available on the Trading Post.

The only change legendary armor needs to be obtainable by crafting, same as legendary weapons, since there's currently no normal-person way to obtain it in PVE.

  10. I'm amazed how many people are willing to fight tooth and nail against a QoL feature, jesus christ.

Just make the Pact Commander speed boost work outside of cities. That restriction never made any sense anyway.
