Hello! I would like to join and learn fractals and raids if you are still recruiting!

Hey guys, just transferring from NA. Which server on EU has a good amount of guilds organised with Discord? I am more into guild vs guild fights (blobbing) than PPT. I tried Piken Square which is T1, but it seems to be mostly PVERS? Haven't seen many open tags or guild activity despite it being T1. I also tried Desolation last week, and it's kind of dead. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

> @"Super Fuzz.4980" yeah when i'd have tht much average ping, i would try to restart the game here. u can be nearly sure that u will hve a better ping here. we even had NA players in EU, and quite some gone back to NA because the ping situation is just worse here for them. (ofc, for the night ppters who farm at 4am - 6am CEST this won't matter since nobody to fight anyways due to every sane person sleeping...)
Thank you, I will give it a try. Any recommendations for a good EU WvW server? I see Desolation and FSP are open currently. I like blob fights but also comped havocing - so any servers with dedicated and competitive Guilds for that would be cool!

Ahh, 70-90 sounds good. My average ping when just roaming in WvW is 70-150 - which I guess is bad?. So it seems like maybe I would get lower ping on EU servers.

Hey, I am interested!

Hello! I've always played on an NA server since GW2 began, as my old GW1 Guild joined on one of these servers, however I live in U.K. I have become a WvW focused player and lately I am struggling with lag spikes/ping of around 4k at times during prime-time and with 3 zergs on a map. My ping when it is quiet and I am roaming or havocing is usually around 100-250. I enjoy blob fights, so I am kinda sad about these big spikes. My internet is great, as is my PC; so I was just wondering would I notice an improvement in this if I transferred to an EU server; as geographically I will be closer to it? Or are these lag spikes "normal" these days in WvW? My worse spikes are usually Saturday night U.K time (I guess around midday NA time); almost unplayable in big groups.
Thanks!

Oh wow, thank you so much for this. I did not know this so was getting frustrated.

This is happening to me too only on Saturday evenings in WvW and PvP 8pm U.K time. I am on an NA server so I assume that is the middle of the day there and so peak time.

Hey, I am not sure if this is a bug - but it's really annoying. I play my Mesmer in WvW and charge up my mantras ('Mantra of Pain' and 'Mantra of Distraction'.) If I have to cross water or fall into it; I have to recharge my mantras once out the water which is kinda clunky for WvW combat. If they are already charged once you go into water, is there a way for them to still be charged once you come out? Just thought I would mention it in case it can ever/will ever be changed.

Just block people and move on - and appear offline if you have any issues with friending or DM's from enemy players. There are toxic people in all games; just report it if appropriate and don't respond to it emotionally. If people grief you, they generally give up when they don't get a response out of you.

I am running an i9 and 3080 too and the graphics look great to me. Sure, the base game graphics don't look as good and certainly show their age; but they are still good. I think the newer maps look great. I am using a 27 inch 1440p monitor btw.

It would be nice to have another WvW tournament.
It would also be nice to see some abilities added to the Warclaw. Maybe some kind of zerg combat based on Warclaw riding and new abilities?

I regret buying the Halloween mount skins. I think they were some of the first skins to come out for mounts; and I just got overexcited. I never use them now and they are honestly ugly and kinda boring compared to some of the skins released since.

Hello, I am looking for a WvW and or sPvP Guild on Henge of Denravi.

The bots on the NA server in ranked are ruining the game. I've seen them as high up as Gold. ANET not doing anything about the bots actually encourages AFKing in players and other bad behaviour, since people get frustrated by the bots and also see ANET doesn't punish rule breaking.
-
I do love WvW - but would like to see new maps and also more tournaments.

Please can you bring back the cosmic mining/harvesting/logging tools to the Gem Store?

Hello, I've always played GW2 on a rubbish laptop. Finally I have saved to buy a gaming PC - I'll either get a 2080Ti or one of the new NVIDIA 3000 series GPU's. What monitor is best for GW2? Can I run it well with a 1440 monitor? Or is it better in 1080? Don't know too much about 4K gaming...would a 4K monitor be good? The only other games I will be playing will be a bit of FFXIV, New World (when it comes out), Microsoft Flight Sim and Ashes of Creation (when it comes out). Sorry for the noob question, I honestly do not know much about tech, and I am confused about what refresh rate and stuff that I need for the best performance. I mostly play WvW and PvP if that is helpful to know.

Looool. What specs does your laptop have?

Thank you for this! So yeah, I would assume this would create more heat problems for a laptop. So best a desktop?

Yeah, I was thinking a CPU single-core heavy game like GW2 might add to thermal issues laptops inherently have too.
-
Currently my old laptop has dropped to 5-12 FPS...so I need to replace it. :(
-
I know that for everyone FPS drops when big zerg fights happen. However, I was just wondering what computer/laptop specs you guys are running to give you good performance with as high settings as possible in WvW? I am looking for a new laptop/PC for GW2 - specifically WvW, so this is why I am asking.

Thank you so much!

Had to, average ping dropped by 50-80 by moving to EU.
