  1. 2 years of development for that ... haha no way.

srsly when looking back what i alone developed in my company the past 2 years, than that is a joke.

i know somehow the devs should get paid, but than make an expansion and put that feature into the expansion.

currently everything is about the gemstore. srsly i want content and i'm going to pay for that .. but not for features and cosmetics.

Compared to the amount of events in this game it seems to me to be a very small subset of events that keep breaking, while I remember a lot of others fixed over the years. Would be interested to hear from a developer that tried to analyze the events in question, but then again I'm not even sure if explaining to us why they can't track those specific problems would really be a good use of their time.

Thats not the probleme here. bugs get found and reported by players but anet does not fix them. Why? i think because they have not the man power to fix them.

    > Because 99% of the time players don't actually know what's good for them. A properly designed, standardized user interface allows the developers to make certain assumptions about every player's experience which they can design around, instead of trying to accomodate every single niche configuration that someone might have put their UI into. Apple is a pretty good case study on this, specifically the development of iPhone.

and why havent anet done this? and the UI is so bad?

hey even the FF XIV on Console has way more and better options.

and you compare a smartphone ui with a MMO game interface? wth

  4. UI is really bad in this game. Looks nice, but thats it.

worst is that Z layer is completly broken. You click an item, for example Ley-Energy Matter Converter and it always is behind you bag window.

Boons/ conditions so small and not movable, Healthbars from enemies to small, no extra actionbar for bufffood and/or usable items

the heavy armor looks great on a female.

many many players asked me from where my chest and legs are.

so this year a pick the light armor and i'm pretty happy about it.

but i'm a little bit sad that the new title is not steadfast https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hero_(achievements)#achievement1687

yes it is a bad design. i rembember i had the exact same problem with my guardian druid in wow cata ( thy fixed it. Aegis should work like absorb )

you create a shield/aegis and every small hit removes it.

so for example you fighting 2 enemies. the first one hits you for 100 the 2nd for 10k. Aegis is gone after the 100hit and you receive a full 10k hit.

    thats really bad gamedesign.

but thats how gw2 balance works. its broken since release and i dont believe they ever gonna fix any problems.

for example Chak event. you get 15k oneshots, because small things hit you and then the something big.

oneshoting is a great gamedesign. every game should have it /sarcasmoff

    but here starts the fun.

imo no really fun range weapon. Scepter isnt a weapon for a heavy armoured class and Longbow is pretty boring.

then GS 2 is your strongest dps skill, but the enemies decides to move ... well.

  8. i have crafted Sunrise before the collection, Aurora ( most fun ), Astralaria, Twilight with collection -> Eternity. (and i have the pre for Vision ).

Yesterday after crafting Eternity i wanted to start a new legendary. The Flameseeker Prophecies and The Shining Blade.

pre for The Flameseeker Prophecies isnt worth doing the pre collection. just buy the pre for 200g.

Then i was littlebit confused about The Shining Blade. i thought it would be like Astralaria, but this shards ... looks weired to me. i dont think i will craft it and i'm going for Bolt.

So if i could buy The Shining Blade maybe i would do it, but not "craft" it. Or i missed something and dont understand the timegate behind the shard system.

  9. the biggest enemy PuG Sirens Reefs are the other players in the last fight.

i think 80% have no clue whats going on. even T1.

i NEVER ever saw someone not running away with the green AoE.

And some players only do autoattack. i'm using ARCDPS and its insane how low sometimes dps is.

i'm never telling anyone, because its not my business. but i wonder how long it took the player to get level 80.

so yeah i dont run Sirens Reef PuG anymore.

  10. this morning i logged onto my mesmer ( i have no clue how to play him), took a open world Axe/x build from metabattle and killed every boss first try (Stage 1-3 )( only that thief with the riffle killed me once )

but when watching some players fight bosses i think they dont understand the concept of the combat in this game. players who can not kill one of the bosses from the first stage intime. Stop throwing cotton balls ;-)

  11. problem since day one of the game.

they fixed some things over the years and made some bad decisions on other things.

what i have learned over the years ( playing since beta ). dont expect anything and dont play for rewards because you will get disapointed over and over again.

play the things for fun and work on things where you can see the goal. for example a legendary, title or a skin you like.

i crafted 5 legendarys over the years. finished Eternity yesterday and with Aurora it was the most fun i had in this game.

since beta, i had some break from the game, i got only 1 precursor ( Pistol from fractal about 50g worth lol ).

imo its not the quality and quantity of items in this game that are missing. its the problem how you get them.

Farm the place with the best gold/hour and then buy stuff. a lot of things you can not farm, its nearly impossible.

there is no value in the things you get. you always only look on the gold you can make from the garbage in your bags, sell them and then buy the stuff you want.

thats not how a rewarding system in a game should work.
