There is one thing that makes people come up with these nerf thief, balance thief, rework thief, etc. Thief player is one that usually at the mercy of being greatly outnumbered and always forced to adapt to a situation. As per the person complaining they never adapt and they never learn anything except on how quickly anet caves in to their demands. I've killed players with this new meta that they are so tanky that I might can do like 2k damage to them with AA chain attack and if I backstab them I'll do something amusing like 300 damage and that as a malicious attack. So if you cannot survive with near or over 100% damage mitigation in this meta this just isn't the game for you.

  2. I just picture a hydra mount when I read this lol. So one moves the mount, another fires the meteor showers, and then the other one says okay guys dragon breath now come on guys you can do it! Then when all three players try to move at once it does the whole charging thing they do lol.

  3. The only thing with these people is anet caving in and giving them their way so they can see what happens when they break an entire class just for the purpose of their whining. They will wonder why it takes hours for a match to start and same with wvw they will complain about population problems after a whole class is condemned and they stop playing. Biggest example of this are ele players so many of them gone and even the only time they were ever useful was that one weekend that they were bugged out into being useful. So it doesn't matter with features like stealth once they completely remove that from the game they will move onto the next thing that kills them and so on. So in the end anet's trade off is to please the players who will never be pleased they will destroy their own game to get rid of players who have stuck with the game so long. In the end its like self sabotage but its their game they can do what they want with it I just won't be playing it at all if this is the direction of things.

    So you are missing the whole thing where they say play as you want. Also telling people how to think and how they should do things is the entire mindset of why content like this is avoided at all costs. It was approachable in theory when you could just dive into it as playing as you want but then that changed and then people quit trying strike missions.

  5. There are multiple factors that make any of these pve type game modes within the game mode itself so unpopular. The first thing is when you have the aspect already in your mind of banning or kicking someone from a group that is the first step in half the player base not even interested in playing with you. Then anything that you might look at as fun is not fun to everyone else and that is attacking one thing for hours with small percentage of the time that you actually kill that one thing. Then the whole anet company motto was play how you want to play and raids specifically threw their whole mission statement out of the window especially when dealing with the ban/kicking its just never going to work.

     

    Its like strike missions were a great plan on paper but then when you add these elements of people who raid into the mix the urge to do them has completely dwindled down to not ever going to happen. The whole random people jumping into strike missions has gone out the window so a good plan on paper for the mission statement but then back to what is wrong with raids and the people who do them make strike missions fail too.

     

    So in the end a lot of people for pve type aspect of playing just do living story or expansion based metas since world bosses are mostly just waiting for something to happen and get bored before anything ever happens and log out. So there is a lot of human problems with content that anet can never fix and then the things they can fix will never be addressed and then with their competitive balance just full out make classes so much different from pve that it just gets too annoying to switch between the two. Then makes loyal players like myself leave the game for the most part like I still login for some wvw but other than that I've already left.

  7. This meta is just about who spams the most amount of condi's first there is no skill or strategy in this meta just a lot of horrible players that can win fights with their macros. Then whenever there is some decent balance they will quit playing because then they will cry about whatever class has the ability to kill them and to make it get nerfed. Welp along with this horrible meta and that SAB crap coming up a great time to retire from the game permanently. Not even the least bit interested in their living world stuff anymore because of this crap.

    Yep like I said plus that vid is just a map queue running over a small amount of players who just keep running back to feed kills. Now a more balanced population of the enemy and throw condi into the mix and then that power build would be instantly destroyed.

    Yeah everything that is condi lol power builds are obsolete again.

I mean the term condi spam itself should have been enough of a deterrent to bringing it back again but no they weren't happy with the power being scaled way too high so lets bring back something they hate even more. Except this time lets completely nuke thief and warrior out of being playable that will really make them happy.

  11. Yeah people got their wish so pretty much anyone who played thief is pretty much done with wvw except for maybe reset night but that is even hard to swallow now too its just condi spamming. So anything that used stealth or cc is now absolutely useless I mean if they didn't look like they were sabotaging their game before this is just an all out nuke. I mean so bad between pve and wvw its like you aren't even playing the same class between them so I think its just time to put an end to both see ya anet spend my time and money somewhere else.

    More so the players complaining about stealth need to be looked at. Are they learning how to reveal thieves and mesmers? From time to time I even test myself on various classes to see how hard it is on them and for the most part thief is at the serious disadvantage. So many reveals and passives ones in fact that you don't even have to do anything to reveal them. Then if you are fighting a really good thief even then you have so many many many options to do this. Most of the time I run into people who will hug sentries or hide themselves inside a npc which both tactics a thief from killing you with stealth. I just recommend people learning how to play a class before demanding nerfs just because they have trouble with said class. Also think about players in your guild or server that use those classes too demanding nerfs also means your demanding that your servers strength be handicapped which is a large result of this latest nerf oblivion.

  13. I mean I can't see why there is anything even before finding out the price to be excited about this if anything it makes me not even want to play wvw anymore I really despise condi spamming. Although so many people found out without condi spam that they were terrible players so it was coming back eventually.

  14. Meh this balance patch is pretty much the final nail in the coffin for wvw. Its just going to be a bunch of pve guilds spawn afking it for the rewards because I don't expect anyone to be playing this crap they are trying to push on us going back to horrible condi spamming cancer.

The irony about their road map talking about the warclaw but then nothing about that but I guess the death of the roaming classes and specs is an indicator they don't actually care about havoc or roaming. Pretty much anyone who did like small scale combat in any form is pretty much written off so its like anet saying don't come back to this game ever again.

  16. We currently are in an epic special event in wvw. Its called the no-player event where no one is playing the game mode except for people from pve guilds k training or tagging people and then afking. Which the grand finale event the maintenance mode event is coming very soon where you can ally your dust covered guilds and be buried together in the same keep as you retire forever.

  17. I figure most of these comments are made by one person in the middle of an omni blob of players spamming their 1 skill at a thief and then saying yeah we are totally better than that loser.
