  1. Mostly agree. I almost always run with the signet for the passive because I don't see use for the others.

That banner... unnecessarily underpowered except during very specific circumstances. I want to carry it on my back. The Juggernaut skill, I'm trying to force myself to use it but again, it feels underpowered and sometimes I think it would be better to just wait for cooldowns.

The Spb bubble... well I like it. But I don't like the selfstun of this Berserker spec.

I feel the entire Berserker spec is trash. Personally, because I don't like neither the berserker mode mechanic (cooldown, spam Decapitate, headbutt...) and I also dislike the abilities.

Though I'd like a support EoD specialization, I wouldn't mind another DPS class if they do something like the Spellbreaker who doesn't entirely rely on a single mechanic.

  2. For a one shot build what would be better? Deadeye or Core? Dagger or Rifle? I assume the build would be critical strikes + deadly arts + spec?

My intention is to not be seen at all, that's why I need DA.

Full berserker with scholar, with force+air sigils and assassin signet. Unless you know a better glass cannon combo that's pretty much what I'll be running.

Is the race a thing here? I've been reading for months that some races have more predictable animations (norn) over others (asura). Asura is the one that gets my attention because of the size, but I've been reading that their lower size do not match their melee attack range.

I'm specially concerned about this because I will also run the condition thief, and pistol 3 is already hard enough to hit without being an asura.

I've played them all. Spellbreaker WvW is a bubble bot and Zerker in GvG isn't a thing compared to other DPS classes (and that zerker with banner is the class I play the most). HEalbreaker in PvP is something good in my opinion, but I'm on silver so who knows.

The thing is Spellbreaker is a good tank but a mediocre support. I personally want a real support with healing and/OR buffing abilities.

Well, Firebrand can be used as either support or condition damage, and I think power is good too. I want the same, it doesn't need to be 100% support.

    > How is that fun tho? How will that allow you to tag bags? How will it feel like warrior and not guardian (the heavy armored profession with plenty of support capabilities). In the end what we say here doesn't matter, but I've yet to see anyone proposing a meaningful spec focused on "support" that feels like warrior and is not just some type of support we can get by fixing core (mobile banners on the warrior, with pulsing boons when traited on top of their flat stat increase, would take care of a lot of folk who want to support as warriors). Boom, Discipline, Tactics and ANY spec and you got yourself a support. Berserker does damage well, SPellbreaker does strips well. The new specs needs something NEW for warrior, not something we already have and can buildcraft with.

    >

    > In any case, we are in the long waiting game now until we get info from anet.

In my opinion it doesn't have to be a copy of the guardian, I think warrior makes more sense buffing allies, giving them alacrity, might (perhaps even breaking through the 25 stacks limit) or even carrying banners on the back or something like that. A better version of the bannerslave but also compatible with wvw and pvp and ranged capabilities outside the condition longbow and the single-target rifle, able to empower itself and its allies.

Yeah, I would like that. The banner bot has a permanent place in all the raid bosses with only two abilities, imagine a well designed spec around the banners :#

  4. Absolutely. While I prefer DPS roles, all core, berserker and spellbreaker already work in most game modes.

Meanwhile support is a banner/bubble bot nearly useless, I would like to see a Defense rework + Commander specialization, relying on shouts, banners or another new warrior ability. With pistols in both hands, so we get new ranged options.

Monk would be nice too, but we already have the Daredevil so I wouldn't bet for it.

At this point support is the class with most sense for the warrior, a well designed spec could give us a permanent place on WvW zergs, a meta build in PvP and with enough luck, a guaranteed place on fractals/raids. We don't need a new DPS spec for that, just some improvements for the current one.

    >

    > You can run defense mid top top instead of tactics if you prefer. Mace shield instead of dual axes or the greatsword if you need a cc set for breakbars. Brave Stride now gives stab on movement skills with a 1s CD, but gw2Skills is not updated yet.

I'm not sure if that build is up to date but, does that have more survival and damage than spellbreaker if you remove the Tactics branch? I think Spellbreaker has more damage but I'm not so sure about the survival chances. Sure Full Counter is good but Tactics sustain is also good.

  6. I'm currently going with Hammer/SS on zergs, sometimes Staff too. Now I want a build to deal with maps alone, clearing camps and face enemies.

I'm willing to learn and I don't care if the 'best starter build' is either Herald, Core or Renegade, though I'm honestly a big fan of Renegade abilities and shortbow.

  7. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Champion_Mayatl_the_Fierce

This is one of the hardest I ever fought, been trying with full power, full condition and even toughness spellbreaker, but by either damage or permaroot+daze he eventually kills me.

    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Champion_Mordrem_Guard_Sniper

The second one is probably easier and not a very big challenge, but I actually needed help to defeat him.

I main Warrior and I like to solo kill big enemies so if any of you is able to defeat any of those foes alone I would like to know how, or see, if you are willing to upload a video.

  8. Main hand Axe on PVP isn't very good.

With my Dagger I have damage, double gap closer and daze.

Axe provides damage and a mediocre gap closer, for PVP even sword and mace are better than axe.

Axes provide damage only, that's good for PvE where enemies are just waiting there to die, but on PVP people will dodge, interrupt or block your axe 5 and dodge your damage spike. Dagger, sword, shield, horn... Those bring you utility, mobility, protection and of course damage.

That said, just play whatever you enjoy, you are here to have fun not to play meta.

    > >

    >

    > You say that... but I actually dissagree on this point. Since gw2 has more mechanics than most MMO's out there. Most MMO's don't even let you dodge, weapon swap or pick and choose traits/skills to use, most MMO's rely on an RNG dodge block system. Try and play an oldschool MMO after playing gw2 for years, its dull, since they really do lack mechanics that gw2 has. Gw2 makes you feel like you're in control of your character's life, rather than an RNG system that picks if you die from the attack or live.

That's so right, I cannot imagine myself playing another MMO and not being able to dodge

  10. Be me, playing Warrior because is my favorite class.

Playing the [next build](https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Spellbreaker_-_Magebane_Roamer) because I don't have fun going full support

I start fighting against an Engineer.

    Invulnerable

    Invulnerable

    Invulnerable

He just stands there with the flamethrower on, pointing at me.

I eventually die because my CC isn't working and he mitigates all my damage.

    What I'm supposed to do?

It provides 2K+ toughness and -45% condi duration with food, yet still has over 2400 power, 46% prec and 221% ferocity. The second weapon is hammer (Knight) or rifle (Berzerker), based on situation. The CC on the utilities really helps keep mobs under control.

What is the usage of hammer here? do you really need the hammer CC when you already have three CC support skills?

  12. > @"Infusion.7149" said:

    > Meta is some boring minstrel spellbreaker thing with shouts because hammer damage is now horrendous as well as every utility skill with hard CC and you wouldn't want to run sword other than for mobility. Mace / dagger belong more in PvP than in WvW due to very low target counts on skills.

    >

    > If you want a semi-enjoyable experience and your server's commanders don't expect anything from you other than Winds of Disenchantment bubbles I'd run full marauder + brawler runes strength or tactics (Warrior's cunning) spellbreaker instead with greatsword/axe+axe or axe+shield. Discipline's _Destruction of the Empowered_ is more or less a must if you want to do damage without slotting Warrior's Cunning.

I'm really interested on this so I would like to ask you. Currently I have a full marauder armor and I had the intention of using runes of durability on it, for BOTH zerg and roaming, would be better that brawler rune or do I have enough power? Weapons and trinkets are all zerker

For roaming I'm using GS+Dagger/Shield, but what about zerging? I have two ascended axes and also a berserker warhammer, what would be better?

(I also have a berserker gear with scholar for raids so the option of going full glass cannon is always there)

    >

    > Basically it will beat all other thief builds 1v1 if skill gap isn't a factor. Any thief that builds for evades stands no chance against this. They have no choice but to burn evades hoping to dodge your backstab that has absolutely no tell, while you just sit in stealth and wait for the moment to burst. Rifle DE can last a bit longer but will eventually succumb due to your mobility/gap closes and because they will run out of stealth/dodges far before you run out stealth and dodges. Condi thief relies on bursting condi's which they can usually do every 26 seconds. Given your signet is on a 30 second cool down and your heal on 25 seconds that gives them a 4 seconds window, and that's assuming your shadow step is down and they perfectly land the steal exactly as it comes off cool down, none of which is remotely likely.

    >

    > But that's against other thieves. Against a scourge for instance you're better off running a rifle DE. Just kite the scourge and build malice before bursting and you'll win every time. But against a dragon hunter your rifle DE doesn't stand a chance. You're better off running a sword daredevil build with as many evades as possible.

    >

    > That's how this game works.

    > Scissors, paper, rock.

    > You'll see a lot of elitism particularly on this thief forum. Evade thieves (scissors) will complain to no end about SA D/P (rock), some of the points being valid, but more often than not they negate the fact that they could re-roll a dragon hunter (paper) and annihilate the same D/P build with ease. Whilst that D/P thief can then re roll to the exact build that their opponent swapped out of (scissors) and stand a much better chance.

    >

    > But in my opinion? When it really comes down to it the difference between core and daredevil is that daredevil is better. More mobility/more sustain/more stealth/more damage mitigation etc all depending on the traits you pick.

    >

    > Edit: Placed the sword instead of the dagger in the build accidentally, corrected now.

That seems good, what do you think about durability runes instead scholar? I guess the sigils are the standards air, energy, bloodlust...

  14. I've been told that Daredevil staff is the best PVE build; however I don't enjoy it over other playstyles (Dagger, pistol, rifle, swords...)

So outside of the Daredevil / Staff option, what is a good PVE build for open worlds +t2,t3 fractals?

Thank you! what thread is that? so I can see the discussion too

Has the fist flurry an special use or just spam it whenever is available?

  16. Viper with sword+torch and longbow?

Or full zerker with axes and swords?

I've tried both builds (not full viper yet) and I feel so weak.

    Zerker damage is very good.

Viper not, though I do not have the full ascended trinkets set yet so that may be the problem.

But the thing here is that I do not last enough. As revenenat I remember being able to facetank everything, but as warrior? I swear I'm missing something
