  1. I suppose you could argue that transmuation charges are so easily obtainable that they may as well not exist, so it would be a QoL improvement to have them removed, but I've been playing almost since launch which probably skews my view of them. This also assumes that they do not sell and are worthless to Anet due top their ready availability to me.... So I guess if Anet looked at the stats and the Charges have not sold in x months or years, maybe a QoL argument could be valid.
  2. Started my partner out with warrior, necro, rev and ranger, can't remember which was first, probably necro or rev as most forgiving/facetank. When she was more accustomed to the game and looking for a change I suggested Engi with explosives for sustain/damage until she could get scrapper, which is now tied with Daredevil for her favorite class. She's tried pretty much all of them now.
  3. Reaper also makes sense because of the boon strips....basically the nearest thing we have to antimagic. Other than that it'd be Warrior>Spellbreaker for the same reason. Boon stripping, shutting down opponents attacks and brute strenth. Banners/shouts could be seen as a proxy for Asta's infectious courage and determination and there's no magic effects. You'd lose out on the demon aesthetic but everything else would fit like a glove. X/Mallyx Revenant would also nicely fit both. I've been playing Glint/Mallyx in marauder/zerker gear, standard power traits, mallyx Elite works surprisingly well with the revamped Life Steal and gives boon-strip anti-magic vibes again. Demon form looks brilliant. Not sure how it would go in raid content/tier 4s. Edited to removed Kittens

  5. wow, the shoulders just... nope. This is still not worth any time. Skins you can get elsewhere, skins which look terrible and an RNG box of stuff most of which is far lower value than what you put in. The same three crappy, over-long, waste of time instances. Unimproved. No. Just, no
  6. I quit from boredom after the first two fights, after several days I forced myself to do the third to get it over with and hopefully get to some story, but that's all there was. If there was any lore or relevant dialogue in there then I missed it because it was so busy and happening at the same time as the overly long, tedious fights and all the other nonsense. The DRMs are drab, boring, unrewarding slogs which aren't worth playing, let alone replaying. It's like they've smashed open world together with strike missions in all the worst possible ways. If there is story, it doesn't seem to be worth going through all that again. I guess I'll pickup the story and try to fill in the blanks in January. Here's hoping that WP does a story break down like he did for the recent Fractal.

  9. Pretty much this. As instances, they are far too dull, far too long. They chaos of the endless fighting means I missed most of the dialogue. I have no idea what story has been imparted here. I couldn't tell you a single thing of value or impact to the story that has been imparted here. Maybe none has? My partner and I played through the first two DRM's to get through the story but were so fed up by the end that we took a break from the story. Didn't touch it again for days, choosing instead to do map clearance and other stuff. The support currency nonsense was just pitiful, the rewards dreadful, the crystal bloom box was a waste. Didn't spend enough to get the tier rewards, not least because I had absolutely no desire to slog through the DRM's any further. I finally forced myself to do the third part and was so glad for it to be over that I just left the map immediately, forgetting that there's a mastery to find. The really sad thing is, DRMs are such an unrewarding chore that replaying to get the mastery, just isn't worth the time and effort. At least if these were side stories, I could wait for the first events to be done and then join in at the end or just skip them all together.
  10. For me it's the incessant, unskippable babble and the fact that he's completely worthless in a fight. When I first started playing the more active combat was quite new to mmos, so I was playing through the story (sylvari), constantly having to lug around a jabbering ball and chain and revive it, while fighting off hordes of monsters. Trehearne was a monologuing encumbrance, not a character. Once I grew accustomed to the combat nothing else really grated on me so much, so other npcs got a free pass where Trehearne left a scar of frustration.
  11. I doubt it would happen but I'd love if they did. I have several characters who would benefit aesthetically from different legendary effects, but because of weapon restrictions, can't even equip the legendaries I have. I have a toon which can't use Lbows but would look great with Kudzu's flower effects.
  12. What I don't understand is, if this ~~garbage~~ content is meant to last ~2 weeks or even longer, then why cut off the ability to garner rewards and contribute to progress after 7 days?
