From what was being said on twitch last night, this player could have easily pushed the price up to 2.5g and held it there for months, technically they didnt do anything wrong, aslong as the gold on their account was legit and earned ingame, they are free to do what they want with it, but it should highlight finally that just a handful of players can completely dominate this game market as and when they choose too, and nothing will change that.

     

    If indeed this player is doing this to spite a few other barons, then id watch for when that 280k coins its dumped back into the market, as the player in question could also make MC's worthless.

    It wont matter, he wont be playing long enough for them to take advantage of it, there is a clip from last night where he asks about how to get all the good looking mount skins, and someone tells him straight up its all $$ no free skins in game from raids etc, so now him and the 30k people watching him last night now know the game is all about the $$ for skins, you could almost see the defeat setting in straight away, how about that for marketing potential.

    I had the same issue, it took them 9 days to get back to me, going from reddit etc thats about the given timeframe for support at the moment 7-10 days, im guessing the full support team is not working due to current world events etc.

    Why, why do they need to "catch up" why is it that someone who has played the game since launch gets restricted so that someone who picks the game up 7 years later can catch up, they wont catch up, they have missed events and achievements that are no longer in the game, so the catch up argument is kinda invalid, hopefully now that Anet is under new management they will go back and look at things like AP.

     

    The cap should have be raised/lifted completely.

I built a guild hall with 3 people, some guild missions you will just have to face will not happen, however, for the races, its best to wait until there is another guild also doing it, you only need to have it active in your guild mission, and aslong as 15 ppl complete the course you will get credit for it, this helped alot with some of the missions, the trek missions you can do with 2 people, just have the wiki up and take some time to learn where the locations are and the fastest way to get to them.

     

    The hardest things for us where, hard bounties, we never got one of them the entire time, so mostly ignored them, we also never did any of the jumping puzzles.

    How many people run power reaper in WvW though, i very rarely see reaper at all when in WvW, maybe some solo classes, in which case its fine, given that some other classes have skills that can spike you for way higher than 7-9k, and have the ability to do it was faster than every 20 seconds, and some of them from invis at that.

  7. Reduce damage, Reduce healing, so nothing will change at all, it will just take longer to do stuff, watch how many Arrow carts get built now, i can see it now, hahaha i kill 50 people with 1 AC because they cant out heal this damage.

     

    Reducing damage and healing at the same time wont change WvW there are far greater issues, like i said previously, WvW in its current state is unsalvageable, every class needs every skill and trait stripped to the core and rebuilt for WvW only, anything that coverts over from PvE will make certain classes still over powered, are they going to be removing the perma invis instant kill classes/skills also???

     

    All i see here is all talk no action, they have had years to fix these issues, and many devs have come and gone from WvW, the harsh reality is, is it worth Anets time to try and fix a game mode that what less than 1% of the playerbase plays now, if you honestly believe real change is coming to WvW i feel you will be disappointed, for the record its 3 1/2 months since the announcement where they said, we cant talk about alliances right now, but will talk to you soon, same story different day.

  8. They need to an option in that hides the skill tool tips, this would be great for people who click the skills rather than keybind ( i know a few people who click skills due to restrictions in movement ) and the tooltip always popping up is annoying for them.

  9. It does seem hit or miss for this achievement, i cleared all the pillars bar 1, dragged the boss to it, he disappeared and reappeared beside me, as i was already at the location, and it didnt trigger the achievement, not sure if there is some sort of hidden pre for this achievement.

  10. On EU you can normally find a group for the Ire event on the LFG, it has a preset timer for it now, so it does make it easier to do, it could come down to you not knowing about the pre set time for the event or the hours that you actually play,

     

    4) People in my guilds did not come to help because they had given these achievements long time ago and they don’t need them.

     

    Time for a new guild, most achievements in the game dont take long to do, even if it is a map event, the fact that no one would help says your guild isnt right for what you are trying to achieve.

     

    On the empty map thing, ill agree to some extent on this, but this comes down to Anet and the way maps are designed, i tend to do all achievements on new maps in the first week or so, as i find that after 2-3 weeks most of these maps are dead, and you can find it hard to do the metas.

  11. The game servers have been shockingly bad now for weeks, im not sure if Anet is even tracking it, as they never seem to respond to these topics,

     

    The Trading Post is also bad, today i couldnt use it at all, it just wouldnt load anything, then after 10 minutes it popped up saying, cannot connect to the login servers.

  12. No alliances will not come out, its been nearly 2 years, and we have had nothing, in the August announcement, they skimmed over Alliances with a, " We arent ready to talk about it yet, but we will give you an update in a few months" well 4 months later and still nothing,

     

    I believe they are playing endgame with WvW now, i dont think they truly want to put any development time towards it, sure we have had a new dev show up, ( seem that all before in the past, they come and go ) but its more lip service at this point than actual change, they know by ignoring WvW it sinks lower and lower everyday, people leave, guilds leave, it becomes dead, this will allow anet to merge more servers to "fix population inbalance" or just close WvW completely, and stating that there arent enough players interested in it anymore,

     

    I seen someone on twitch the other day ( who used to play GW2 ) playing another game that had massive WvW ( or realm vs realm ) and it was like 100v100v100 and no lag at all, and honestly it looked amazing, its content people want and will play, but gets ignored for PvE/gemstore, if you want real change to WvW figure a way for Anet to make gems from it, and it will be developed in a blink of an eye.

     

    I personally believe that WvW and PvP will both be axed from the game next year, and they will just push on with living story/PvE in general, you may say that skeptical but anyone who has been here since launch will know that things just never change.

I dont know what to make of this, i dont understand why Anet cannot keep consistency when doing things, on LS3 we had unbound magic, LS4 it moved to volatile magic, and now LS5 its neither, they have also removed the Karmic Retribution and made it that your skyscale can get 25 karma per orb collected, the problem i have hear is that Anet pushed glyph's that give both VM and UM and now it looks like going forward they are useless, why the change now, why can you not keep things the same????

     

    Lets me real the new story is super short, its probably less than an hour worth of content there, the new map is designed nicely, ( as a GW1 player i wanted to see more of the shiverpeaks ) but yet again the map has no replay ability what so ever, when everyone has done the story and achievements this map will be abandoned, just like all the others, why do Anet design maps like this, it seems like such a waste of resources to build a map that will be abandoned in a few weeks,

     

    The meta is fun the first time you do it then its boring, 15 minutes of standing there killing a few enemies every 30 seconds, either shorten the time to 8 minutes, or spawn bigger enemies in the middle ( where the 3 orbs would meet ) and make people have to go there also,

     

    Are Anet sticking to a 3 month window still, as if the content being put out is only going to be 1-2 hours every 3 months ( bar the time gated achievements ) then it wont cut it, and i would rather then ditch living story and go full paid expansions, where we know the content will be, i already have a hard time trying to get friends etc to play or to come back to GW2, and this type of content will not help, when other games are pumping out content left right and center. ( i know people harp on about sub fees but other games sub fee is allowing alot of content, i would have spent more on gems than a subfee and im not getting anywhere near the content, Anet should consider a subfee if it would allow them to push content out faster, in LS1 we have new content every 2 weeks, now its every 3 months )

    I cannot get it to work at all, the 2nd mirror doesnt bounce the light, it just stops dead on it no matter what position the mirror is in, this is the first time ive tried this achievement aswell.

    The one in the Southern Mountains doesnt seem to work, the 2nd mirror seems to be in the wrong place, no matter what setting i have the mirror at the light just stops, and will not bounce at all, its hitting the frame of the mirror.

    So the pain point is something that Anet changed recently, even though feedback prior to it was like NO dont do this, you want to bring overperforming builds back in line, and out of all the classes Necro was the only one, no mention of perma invis instant kill thieves, or cant be killed boon bot soulbeasts, are take no damage warriors, got it, it doesnt really seem like you h ave identified the problem you have acknowledged that people want 1 class nerfed, it was this type of "balancing" in the past that got us to this point,

     

    Reverting the scourge back to what it was at before wont change anything, nerfing it more than that just removes it from the game mode, like i said in the "feedback" topic you cant fix the balance in WvW by changing a few stats on some classes, as it either makes it massively OP or so bad that no one will touch it again, the entire scourge change that was done recently needs completely undone, it broke the class in PvE but making is to sub par to other classes its not used, and so OP in WvW that you made the problem they had before x10 worse. Its starting to feel that the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing, alas this was a problem that you have inherited with your new position.

     

    Necro players already know that your fix will remove them from WvW completely, its just what happens around here, dont believe me, go read the necro sub forum.

     

     

     

  17. I do not believe that this feedback will go anywhere or be listened to but alas, it really seems like feedback is only asked for, apparently read, then completely ignored, this is what gets people angry with patches like this.

     

    PvP has its own system for builds, do not use any part of the new system in PvP keep it completely separate,

    WvW should have its own system also, and be kept completely seperate from PvE, however if you dont want that you should have added a check box somewhere that asks if the build is a WvW build so that it doesnt keep changing when you enter that game mode, i would say a lot of players wont even realize that when entering WvW they are still using PvE traits etc,

     

    Overall i feel this update was rushed out and it does feel like a massive cash grab, why are we still using character upgrades instead of account upgrades, the templates should have had their own panel completely, you should have left the old equipment panel alone, moved everything to do with templates to a new section in the hero tab, that way if someone wanted to save a template they could go into that part and do so, as it stands, if you change a weapon for 1 boss or 1 event etc, the game now saves that as the new template, if where being honest, its a badly thought out design, and feels rushed, i feel it should not have been pushed live in its current state,

     

    You have made it now that people are forced to use the templates, its no longer play how you want, its play how we want you to play or dont play at all, I get that i am no longer the target audience for this game, therefore I personally will not be investing any money/gems into this update at all.

    The logging into GW1 just speeds the fix up, the bug will fix itself usually after a few hours, whats sad is, this bug has been around since launch, and its still not perma fixed, which is kind of shocking, when you think that the response was, go and log into the game we haven't looked at for 7 years to fix the bug with your current game, surely a dev should beable to do a perma fix for this problem by now.
