Let me second (or third or thousandth) the request for more to do/build in the home instance or player housing.

I'd love to have a bookcase for all the scroll and book items. Once you put a thing in there it stops being a thing, and you can't take them out. So it's not a bank slot for the weapons and back items that happen to also be books. Perhaps you actually put it in there (Wow, putting a Binding of Ipos in there would be an expensive decoration!) or perhaps you just put a copy of the thing in there. And then some flower pots to display collected flowers perhaps like the ones around New Loamhurst in Lake Doric, but they stay planted. Or a flower display that uses the same mechanic as the book case (but that looks like a flower garden). I for one have a whole bank tab full of books and another full of flowers. Yes I know that's just me and my choice, but I like them. And for Anet it's a revenue stream to sell upgrades to the home instance.

    > **Fifth** The roller beetle races we got last December in Tyria were very fun and cool it would be nice to see some more race tracks added to other maps in game maybe one in Orr or possibly Auric basin?? Either way would be nice to see more races and some more race events happen.

    > So these are my 5 immediate things I think would be cool to see added to gw2 alota the stuff I have said yes most likely isn't gona happen but I thought id put it out there for all to see including anet. Cheers guys :) :)

Since Grothmar Valley has a dedicated Ooze combat arena, how about (on some existing map) a dedicated race track with actual races you need to qualify for - think Indy 500. (The guild halls could use a little extra space for such a racetrack - maybe with a Scribe crafted waypoint for easy access - The Gilded Hollow certainly has multiple levels so the existing layout could easily support a racetrack up high)

The main race does not require to all qualified race at exactly the same time, but like Lily of the Elon, during the main race times, only the qualified racers are allowed on the track. So during the month everyone gets to race with mini gamer competitive events and practice runs. During the final week of the months the top 100 (or 1,000?) race times get invited to participate in the main event race. They can race as many times as they want during that week with their best times being used for final ranking and then post the winners. No power ups, no debuffs. Just straight up speed and skill. Need to have rings to go through to force the track. Allow any mount.

You need two tracks. One for ground based mounts complete with terrain race track and one for flying mounts. There should be a grandstand with row after row of actual seating.

When it's not part of the main race you can have Mario Kart style comic races with power ups and debuffs and all those things that wreck a normal race experience.

The home instance in DR has several of these clones on the same walk cycle and they frequently are clipping into each other. Can they at least have different color dresses?

Also, why not make the NPCs wear "town clothes" and make the existing clothes they have also available as "town clothes" (NPCs have some clothing that is unique and not avialable to players). And yes, it's OK to racially lock them so that you don't have to make that blue Human dress fit on a Charr.

    > I mean, if all it's skills were directly usuable as in pve, then no. But if you just replaced it's over skills with the wvw skills then ok. I'd love to run my shrine or spirit jackal skins instead as a skin instead of the warclaw.

If in WvW all mounts are essentially the as-is Warclaw, but you get the appearance and animations of the other mounts you'd get the Fashion Wars satisfaction (I'm not being sarcastic or ironic here) without changing the balance in any way.

Although no flying allowed, that'd change the game a huge amount - I'm not against it, but it would be so different that all the balance elements and perhaps even the maps would have to change.

  4. It would also be play mode sensitive. For instance in WvW necros would smell like cheese. So would rangers for that matter and I can't say in polite company what thief would smell like (but you don't want it on your shoe!).

When VR gets common and different companies are competing for your VR dollars, smell may be one of the things that gets added. So in addition to a soundscape (music, ambient noises, etc...) there would be a smell-scape. I bet that as Tequatl nears that the smell of death and decay would become overpowering.

I'd love a campfire surrounded by logs (chairs). And others can sit on it once deployed!

I can see several versions of this. A campfire for out and about, or a table with chairs around it for in town. Or a pile of rocks. all with some central thing to sit around. It could either be 3 or 4 different deployable toys or just one that changers skins to match your surroundings.

I see completely no reason to do anything in the home instance outside of harvesting nodes, as it lacks so much that is in a vip area. Bank, tp access, crafters with vendors. Laurel vendor and more.

    > And why would they need to, when the vip area serves the exact same purpose? It would make the passes completely undesirable to buy. So no, it wont ever happen.

Why would it make the other undesirable to buy? They already have more than one area so multiple areas are not dissuading them from adding more. I bet there are a lot of people that would love an area with no other players around. No annoying animations. Not having to suppress map chat when infants start talking politics. No sounds from people activating random skills. You know, private...

    > Gankers are the ones you see 10-15 pull off from a zerg mounted up to chase one roamer, as roamers are the ones that are ganked the most as we are almost always alone or out numbered.

What then do you call the solo player with a combination of unbeatable build and very good play style that waits for solo roamers and then jumps out from hiding and kills them. I thought that was a ganker?

I see this in EBG a lot where there will be a guy hiding in the path from the garrison (keep.... whatever) to wherever the action is and sets up to repeatedly snare those individuals taking the fastest route back to eh action after they've been killed.

Also I thought that was the reason why ganker rhymes with w****r - because they are frustrating.

  8. When Mirage entered play it was the first time I ever was able to survive in a 1v1 fight in WvW. Prior to that my Mesmer was relegated to either back line support (using only the longest range Greatsword skill with little to no AoE for bag tagging) in a zerg or guard duty and siege ticking at a structure.

Also the clones, illusions, and whatnot never seem to fool anyone as to the location of the actual avatar. It's obvious why, they do not move like a real player. Maybe they should be literal mirror images and make the same moves as the player while facing the opponent so you can't just tell them apart. And on creation the called target marker gets lost.

  9. That 9 level deep quote tho. I love the box shading!

Fixing the multi-harvest on re-entering the instance? Yes, that was a good fix - no other plant gets a re-harvest.

Removing the ability of letting others harvest. Bad idea. It wasn't a bug fix, it was a feature change. Calling it a bug fix is disingenuous. Call it what is was, a nerf.

If randos with 10+ free to play accounts harvesting nodes to crash the market is a problem, then fix the randos with 10+ accounts, don't punish the rest of use because you can't solve the actual problem.

    > Can you guys also re-poll cannon blueprints? I think that people would be more likely to accept additional blueprints if placeable cannons were balanced by decreasing their damage or range, or increasing their supply and currency costs. They were close to being added to the game, but people voted no as they were too powerful at the time.

Given how weak siege is against players in general I think we need more of it and more powerful. I'm pretty sure if a weapon can blast a hole in a stone wall that it can do far far more damage to a meatbag.

I do see potentials for abuse, but they might be resolved perhaps by requiring cannons to only be placeable on hardpoints? So that means on walls or floors in structures, but not on grassland outside as you are seiging into a building.

But in general siege ought to do far more DPS than character skills.

  12. Well, I'm not terribly disappointed that I missed it, given that it's just a t-shirt and shorts. But that is not a good way to give stuff away. It's like the old model on a radio station, except there it's the main content talking head that says "Be the fifth caller to win XYZ" - in this format if you;re actually watching the stream you don't see the chat

I was watching Twitch, where was it? If it was in chat, that was flowing by sooooooo fast I couldn't read any of it

I just want an area that has no other players (or at the very least controlled player access). An option to turn off other all player interaction would be a reasonable substitute.

In that vein I'd like tactivators to show a list of who used them with a built in option to report them or at least (for the guild that put it up) to block a named player form using their tactics for the rest of the week.

And accounts/IP addresses that repeatedly show up on the report list get banned. It's one thing to lose a fortress because you were beaten tactically or in numbers, but when some team has to cheat to beat. Nope.
