Yeah, I did that during the day I was grinding the reward track. For now I decided to stop WvW until I can get pips again. There's a lot of other stuff to do in the game, so I am thankful for that. Today I finally get full Trading Post and will buy runes/sigils and see how much stronger I get. I might also have enough gold for first gems purchase after running Silverwastes for like 3 days straight haha. It's been fun, ngl. > @"Whiteout.1975" said: > This situation was not your fault but rather a consequence of mediocre WvW design relating to transfers. Also, communication was not well in your favor. That said, enjoy your "10 days" of mount thirst. Thank you! I actually am enjoying it since I've been keeping busy with other activities that aren't WvW. Really enjoying the game a lot. > @"roederich.2716" said: > ya is anet ignoring the game mode for couple of years, alot of employee who did the small stuff which has been added are let go in high numbers and therefore not in the company anymore. false management decisions of the old ceo mike o brien who also left to hide in a new company. You hear this a lot in the gaming industry, how the devs get let off in high numbers once a game is done or once a portion of a game is done and they are no longer needed. It's pretty sad. I would think GW2 generates enough to keep a dedicated team of coders for constant improvements unless the company is really capitalizing and trying to maximize profits. I wouldn't presume to know how anet operates, but I can only hope they keep the product in good shape. I just got here after all, and I'd like to stay for a while. xD Really happy how everyone responding is real nice, too. I'm liking this game a lot also because of the helpful and considerate community.

New players dont normally transfer the first thing they do. > Yeah, that makes sense. I only transferred world because I joined a guild and they had a WvW training session. And I was only disappointed about the mount because I wanted to participate with my guild at reset, so I spent over 10 hrs grinding the day prior in order to finish the Warclaw reward track in 1 day, then got gated out of unlocking it due to the world transfer, so it sort of ruined my experience. But yeah, 10 days is not a huge wait for just WvW. Waiting 4 days for Trading Post has been worse hahaha, considering I haven't been able to buy runes/sigils for all of my equipment and I feel inferior when I do team-focused content like running dungeons and stuff. But yeah you are right after first month playing all this stuff will be in the past. Just would be good if new players knew about the world transfer stuff, at least I think it would help a lot for future players since I imagine a lot of people would want to join a guild their first week like I did. At least fixing the mount cost to 40 skirmish tickets instead of 50 really wouldn't change much (I think) and wouldn't affect the restrictions to world transfer at all.

Wow, three years for updates is a bit crazy! > Wvw is reward wise overall starved as hell. playing this as newbie is tough, but doable. especially fighting guilds is a good farm option. I don't mind grinding or farming. What bugged me is that I don't think a mount should be gated by the systems in place to prevent world transfer abuse. It's very restrictive for new players who don't even know that world transfer locks the ability to progress in WvW Skirmish reward track. It could be communicated better, so that at least we could unlock our mount before making a transfer, considering it took me less than 3 days to finish the Warclaw track, but I have to wait 10 days due to the restrictions for world transfer. If they simply made the mount cost 40 WvW Skirmish tickets, I would have been able to unlock it. The fact that the vendor sells the helmet for 0 skirmish tickets even though you already get the helmet during the reward track leads me to believe that the devs had at one point considered this stuff and probably (halfheartedly) did this to make it possible to get the mount but maybe they miscalculated and thought it already costed 40 skirmish tickets instead of 50. Honestly, I cannot understand the logic of putting the helmet for sale for 0 skirmish tickets outside of giving the 5 free skirmish tickets for consuming it. But those tickets are basically useless because the track only provides 35 tickets, not 45. So those extra 5 tickets don't allow completion of the mount. It just doesn't make sense, and based on what you mentioned, I gather that this issue exists because of neglect on the developers part. I found someone else who had the exact same problem as me (and seemingly the same level of anger and frustration) based on their posts from March 2019. It would be nice if the devs fixed this so that it doesn't affect players in the future as it's a bad experience that is likely a turnoff to any new customers (I actually see people refunding their premium subs over this, ngl). Well, here's to hoping the devs fix it within the next 3 years, lol.
