In general, I like medium sized weapons. But.... I'd like weapons to a have fixed size. Right now, you can have a weapon, nicely sized on your Charr or Norn, that just is tiny on an Asura, while it would have looked awesome on an Asura if it had been the same size as on that Charr or Norn.

  2. Let's just say, it's the first LS, that I haven't even finished previous parts when the new parts came out... I loathe that forced playing together. I like to play with others, but not when I MUST play with others to finish my story. Right now, I'm at the point where I might not even buy any upcoming expansion, if this is the way ANet is moving.

    > There are only 3 waves of 5 enemies each, and nothing else, the event times out and ends and only those who somehow tagged an enemy get credit.

Either that, or it'll never end

Why Anet, after 8 years of stuck events, still hasn't made an automatic fail after x amount of minutes have passed, is beyond me.

Not only that, but how many people now rely on either a glider or a mount when they jump off too high areas to get somewhere fast :p I think you'd see a lot of dead people below cliffs :p

    > Sure, not judging. Simply stating that you might have more rose colored memories of what it meant to map complete the WvW maps than was actually the case. I still remember the patch when WvW maps were removed from the world completion. A lot of PvE only players sighed a huge relief.

Sure, I sighed a huge relief. But I let out a lot of curses when I found out (after the fact, as I never followed any WvW news) that you couldn't buy GoB's directly anymore. If I had known in advance (aka, if they hadn't hidden the fact in some obscure WvW update preview notes), I'd have bought about 10 of those... In my eyes, the fact that you can no longer buy those GoB's is worse than the fact that you sometimes had to wait a long time before you could finish the WvW maps. But that's a personal preference.

No fractals, no ascended gear, no new Legendaries, and have to do map completion of WvW to get original legendaries? (Plus more changes in the years since launch). Because if that’s it there’s no way they’re going to do all the work necessary to make that work for existing accounts.

    > >

Oh, and there's one other change I'd rather see rolled back: the fact that you can no longer buy Gifts of Battle in WvW. If I had to do map completion of WvW again but would be able to buy the Gift of Battle, I'd say yes in a heartbeat!

    >

    > Only until you realize that map completion in WvW sometimes meant literally having to wait weeks until your server was the appropriate color to get those last few PoI and Vistas. Depending a lot on how strong your server was in getting into each objective.

    >

    > Which, given the likely small size of Classic and potentially, if at all, only 3 server, would mean that everyone bandwagons on 1 server, and if you aren't on that one, you most definitely will have to wait weeks.

    >

    > Versus todays what? 6 hours with boosters of flipping camps? Yeah....

I've done more full map completions before the WvW change than I got Gifts of Battle the new way. I click that little cross on the right side of my window after 5 minutes if I enter WvW now... Maybe unless you are able (both physically as mentally) to spend 6 hours straight in WvW, getting a Legendary the new way is slower than the old one. Also, remember that you get 2 Gifts of Exploration with one single map completion...

But because I say I preferred the old way of the Gift of Exploration/Gift of Battle, doesn't mean I would like a GW2 Classic server! Rather the opposite, those two things I mentioned (the "personal" gold and the Gift of Battle changes) are the only thing I'd like to return to the old way!

Off this list, I really liked the fact that characters had their own money. > Of course having enough alternatives for MPs is good , but IMO the current system is fine. I still manage to get excess points while avoiding some achievements I wish to do later.

There's a difference between difficult content to get a MP and MP's that need to be bought with gold or with repeating the same thing over and over and over again. I had some problems with the HoT points as well, because, as somebody said, I wasn't too good at some of the adventures. But those are generally not too long so you can repeat and get better at them (or even get lucky at one point :p) and finally get that point.

But for the latest series, I need a lot of gold (for example Master of the Ancestral Forge), spend a lot of time doing a meta (that I've only seen fail) several times (such as Raven's Favor) or even worse, only be able to get mastery points by doing strike missions (sorry, I bought GW2 because I don't like forced group content).

  9. > @"Ayrilana.1396" said:

Hmm, I still haven't enough mastery points for the masteries of the first LS that needs these points. As far as I can see, I'll never get even enough points to get the mount thingie unlocked...

Why? Jeremy Soule also did Skyrim and Oblivion and those are on Spotify...

I've not started the latest LS yet (I tried, quit after 5 minutes of mute movements), but as of now, I'll need 20 more mastery points. And I don't see any I can get without having to do things over and over and over and over and over and over again. Especially if those things take an hour or more to do.

They even have brought back mushrooms, which I use a lot still, and the ley energy gliders which I use also rather than mounts sometimes. The new essence skills are use widely across ibs maps and strikes, so I get a lot of use of them, as clunky as they may be. It really helps big time having those masteries leveled up, imo.

    Central Tyria: 18

    HoT: 20

    PoF: 13

    Icebrood Saga: so far -20

And I can only see 6 that are not "the worst of them" (the 5 new insights and finishing the story) "Doable" is a relative term.

  13. Took me a few tries to log back in (kept getting network errors), probably because I was logged in at the time it crashed, but I'm up and running again. Thankfully the one thing I cared most about is returned: the SAB achievement I got on Sunday :p Didn't want to wait another year to finally finish that one!

  14. after having played Assassin's Creed (both Origin and Odyssey) and Red Dead Redemption 2, I would love a photo mode like that. But I'm also realistic and realize that implementing something like that might be a bit difficult in a game that's almost 8 years old already... And besides, a photo mode like that generally freezes the scene and that's kind of impossible in a MMO...

  15. I don't have toons, but I have too many characters :p. At least one of each race/weight/gender combination. So, that's 5x3x2. All of them (except one, she's a special case as she's only used in SAB) are lvl80. 8 of them have done everything (100% map completion on all maps and all stories done). I'm busy with nr 9. One of each profession. And the rest I play when I feel like doing something different.

There's another thing you can do (instead of replacing a character with an accented character, which is what I personally would never do). Often there are various spellings of a name. Take the Johanna for instance. If the name had been taken, Joanna would have been exactly the same name with only a different spelling.

  17. doubt you can do it. First the DS map will take most of that time, if not all. Then you have all the group HP's and the time required to actually get from point to point. And remember, while you and your group of friends might be able to fight those group HP's easily, randoms can and will mess things up.

First point I can sort of see (I do like treasure hunts like that). The second is debatable. Titles are something I personally don't go for (there's only one I really care about and that's one you got from playing GW1), and it isn't really free. You still have to spend a lot of in-game currency to get the rewards (and what are those rewards, beside some recipe for a gobbler which is also very expensive and a garden plot? I don't see the ability to craft ascended food as a worthwhile reward, as I don't need it)

I presume you mean that we have a 50/50 length of day and night twice a year. Because one half of the year, the night is longer than the day and the other half the day is longer than the night. And as it's a perpetual summer in Tyria (even in the Shiverpeaks), it makes sense that the night is shorter than the day...
