  1. Been noticing this today in WvW. A group in Henge of Denravi came in the weirdest lag happened. Not sure if it is a syncing issue, or if they was doing some DOS thing. And could tell when they were coming as the game would start acting up again. In massive fights is was difficult to do anything, and tried texting alerts and they were posted like 30 seconds later. Checked the ping and was only 695 regularly 340. It felt more like 4.5 K latency. Only happened with that one group. Probably a sync issue.

  2. Personally I would like to see in the "closet" what each mount does. If I had known that were-bear was so animated for the Warclaw I would of DEFINITELY bought it.

Recently got out of the VA hospital, and trying to adjust back into the game, and picked up on WvW again a day after the were-bear vanished. That one mount if sooo animated, and noisy, I so would like to see it back again -- soon please. Got the Geode mount instead. It's cute, but that were-bear would of been awesome to have on both my accounts. :)

If when clicking the new mounts for preview, if they would show their special animations that would be a bigger sales point. Most would probably think it was the same old animated mount. Since playing WvW last few days I been seeing these things rare up on their hind legs! Yeah, I would of bought them if I knew what their special animations did.

  3. Get on a good map where more people show up, blam! 7:11:3:202:101

Log back in, and in a map where there's very little of anyone there... stupid. Must be an issue from the UK server thing.

Played the game through an iPhone hotspot. First time no issues.

Last night however, GW2 screen went black twice with no error message displayed. And another time with 7:11:3:202:101 displaying. Going cellular the IP addresses are different than wireless.

Wired, unfortunately, costs way too much. $80+ a month minus the router. Not sure how much GB I use playing on the iPhone, but even that is not impervious to the 7:11:3:202:101 DC bug.

  4. Not had the issue until tonight, 1:00 AM Mountain. Error codes 7:11:3:202:101 every few minutes. Could not even complete the Fire Elemental event with four people. When you got downed you were destined to die as the fire plumes and embers would get ya cause there was no one else around. If you tried to res another they'd get you too. 4 players at the FE event.

Now am starting to see why there's hardly anyone around on events. And as much money as I've dumped into the game the past few months, and then this. And it started when someone was wanting to join our guild and I replied our guild is dead. Then these error codes 7:11:3:202:101 attacks came.

  5. I got on tonight, 1:00 AM Mountain, and there's like maybe 4 players at Fire Elemental. Ping 439, but the lag is absolutely horrible. The FE is hitting people and knocking them down in two hits, and they are unable to be resurrected or able to res themselves. Then you die, cannot waypoint out, and get DC. Heck, lot of times am fighting and suddenly stuff is not registering, but the FE was still damaging and interrupting cause there's like no one there.

Rebooted the computer, router, twice. But to the game, error codes 7:11:3:202:101 from the Payette, Idaho region. Is the game being hacked again?

Was weird, harvested in home, then guild hall. Then some character was asking me to join my guild, said was dead. he's asking why I was in it. Cause it's a home and let me do things I could not otherwise. Wasn't even a few minutes that I started getting those error codes 7:11:3:202:101 every 10 to 15 minutes. This some new IP hacking thing I wonder?

Might be why no one is doing anything if their getting kicked offline from the client/server issue. As much money as I've dumped into the game the last few month I would expect better game play... /le sigh

  6. Have noticed the change with a lot of the newer players. Not sure where they came from, or what their issues are, but they literally train mobs over lower level players that might just be staying out of the way from the mobs for a reason. Sat on a throne waiting for Megadestroyer and 5 players came by on their raptors, went up the spire I was on (Heart of Fire) with mobs, and see others on their Skyscales flapping overhead.

It's stupid. Without that nonsense I rarely would die, and knew there was a risk from mobs, which does not bother me. Have played at lower level characters in places that most would not, but also done so a couple years after beta for kicks. It is fun, and dangerous, and quite the challenge. And I WP on death. Comes with the risk. :) But being killed from fellow player's deliberate trains?? That's total BS.

Also noticed players train mobs to turrets during Shatterer events. Siege cannons do a heck of a lot of damage to the dragon. So when they get over-run, the siege cannons get destroyed. A decent amount of damage is lost. Engineers can be revived to make more mortars, but when a siege cannon goes down that's it - they cannot be repaired.

Is bad enough the east side siege cannons get taken out and hard to keep free, as the Shatterer events seem scripted to keep players away and those siege cannons become useless. A few years ago the east side did not get as inundated with mobs, shatters, and explosions like it does now.

Not much respect going on for Catmanders recently either. See fewer Catmander icons in PvE anymore. What happened to GW2?!?

There are a few decent players out there, but there are way too many toxic ones lately.

  7. This is my third Guardian. Wanted to go with a dark themed one this time around. Had a Shadowknight on EverQuest 2, and was trying to come up with a more menacing name; did not know (at the time) Deathknight was connected to a different game. Only evil-like classes here are Necromancer/Reaper or Revenant. Guardian seemed to be the only class closest to a Shadowknight, so went that route. She will end up following the Dragonhunter route.

Do hope the devs will create an anti-guardian, similar to the Reaper in effects of the temporary minions, based more on keeping one's group going with offset buffs rather than "openly" giving buffs out like Guardians do. But I won't hold my breath. In any case, am having fun with it. :)

Was going to use a Balthazar outfit, then saw the Awakened Zealot one and went with that instead. Minus the swords in the body, it's more in-theme.

  8. Now I have like 35 alts and ran Rangers, Mesmer, and Revenants through this without an issues. Got my Daredevil set up earlier, and was having a blast in the Drakkar battles, up until the the change to scattered mobs with Jhavi, the Daredevil skills stopped - totally. Could not swap weapons, not could use any skills 6 through 10 either.

Ping was okay. I run a ping to the main router to keep signal going well, and monitored. Also have Task Manager up to kill background apps closed. Once in a while the OS likes to load tasks and I kill those processes. But none of them were loaded. Everything was good, 230 ping. Yet I could not use any skills or attacks. So I went to character select and back, got into map, and things were good up until the second half. Everything stopped again.

Could run around, went to the green circles, and those seemed to reset whatever was going on. Then towards the ending it happened again.! /grr Ran around looking like I was doing something, hit a green circle and a few seconds later my attacks came back up. Hopped over, use Dagger Storm, and Drakkar died. Got chests, no ascended boxes on any alts yet.

Never experienced this issue on any other alts. So what did y'all do to Daredevil??

  9. Aye, "C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe" –repair

Also, delete your temporary files. Glary Utilities is good for that, though I tend to remove more myself. And of you're not running an SSDD, then by all means, DEFRAGMENT your main and game drives and/or partitions. Use Task Manage to close TaskEng & TaskHost from running in the background. Other stuff can be closed down if you know your computer.

  10. Had a map with a good turnout, too. Finished one champion through the Raven Portal, Exited, was fighting Drakakr some more and the game was lagging/ The lag was getting horribly worse, then seems like my character stopped responding. Opening Task Manager to see what was going on - to stop taskeng or taskhost events. Was clean. Ping to router was fine. Was already running Performance in graphics. Then got booted, client lost contact with server nonsense. Internet connection was good, ping was really good. Puzzled.

Logged back in, was still in the raid group, but in a different map. Could not get over to the map I was on. Stayed in the raid though. At the end of the raid I was able to swap over - not one chest was awarded. Got nothing for getting booted. Sucks, but what can ya do?

Personally I think eevery character should have a placeholder added when they get disconnected for whatever reason, and leave that placeholder open for ten or fifteen minutes. Keeps others from hopping in at the last moment. Then if you get logged back on in time, your placeholder will poof once your character gets into that instance/map.

    So I concur.

  11. Bought the Glacial Harvesting Tool. Removed the Glyph of Virtue, stuck it into a Skyscale Hatchling Mining Tool. Was out and about Bjora Marches harvesting various mining nodes and Eternal Ice Shards and that was working, though 1 to 4 Karma per strike? 1,000 gems for a pitiful amount of Karma should of been added to the text, as seems to be a waste for a glyph - and probably would not be so misleading.

In any case, when I was mining 8 different nodes in the Norn Home Instance, I could see the 1 to 4 Karma points on each strike, however the Inventory screen did not show any increase what-so-ever. Closed the Inventory screen, opened it back up, was still at 158,809 Karma. Exited the Home Instance, came back in, harvested other the Eternal Ice Shard node, same thing, no pittance of Karma was added to the Inventory screen while inside the (Norn) Home Instance. Exiting did not increase the number either. Seems to not be working inside the Norn Home Instance - unsure about other Home instances cause just got it today.

While most players I've chatted with think Karma is not worth anything. I happen to be more of a solo player in a tiny guild, and work two jobs. Can only get online around midnight or so. For me & my 39 other characters Karma is used quite a bit for armor and decent weapons - up until I can make ascended weapons. Others think VM is King, yet I rarely even use it. But that's their thing, I am not them. Got the Glacial Harvesting Tool for its Glyph of Virtue hoping it could help increase Karma. Especially in Bjora Marches, that map does not offer much Karma compared to other maps. Drakkar's karma is bad. Get more karma from Claw of Jormag.

Personally would rather seen 10 to 20 karma per strike, especially since the item has to be purchased. 1 to 4 is rather stingy, something I could see Daybreak Games doing in comparison. Does the VM tools only give 1 to 5 per strike too?

  12. Not sure if I'm missing something, and do not want to start a new thread.

Blish said to run, so was running (Ranger) with horn. Thought perhaps there was some sort of achievement or advancement on grabbing the volatile magic. Missed one, went back for it, died. Restarted from last check point, tried this again but got on a Jackal. Did okay, was following the long green arrows, next thing I know am bring blown back by some fierce wind. Was looking for indicators as what to do, or a counter-magic icon. Kept leaping forward on Jackal but was instead being blown back - then died. (?)

Restarted from last checkpoint. This time am in the sky on broken floating islands. Was flying on griffon and following the volatile magic left by Glint's ghost (I suppose) and this purple wall was moving faster than I was. Was no arrows or star as to where to go, saw no indication as which was to proceed. Kept dying, restarting from last checkpoint, and gave up on the volatile magic and instead flew straight.

The mini map showed nothing but a white- grey texture. Occasionally void rifts would try to suck me in, but kept flapping away. Got ahead quite way to where there was literally nothing there. The wall was on both sides of me and I was trying to keep ahead of it. After some time I died.

Restarted from checkpoint. Took me a few tries of flying out to nothingness when I realized the small exit green indicator was behind me. (!) And so was that purple mass wall. So escaped, and seems to have completed this episode.

What I don't get is we are supposed to protect Blish while these purple branded cones come down. Past experience knows that these would drop over you and freeze you until you, another player, or pet breaks you free. So am dancing around and cannot target a one - only the occasional enemy spawns. Blish says to run, and the green arrow spawns. Okay, why is there no mention that "perhaps I should get the raptor out" while running. Okay, maybe some instances allow mounts, others do not, and most do not allow gliding. Not knowing what sort of instance you're in leaping onto a mount might not be the first thing to come to a player's mount, as many times when wanting to glide you'll end of falling to your death instead.

Okay, so the player is rushing out of the way, not knowing what lies ahead. What is SUPPOSED to happen when being blown back occurs. How does one stay alive? Am assuming the wind blows and the land rips apart, and become floating islands? So you're hopping these islands on a raptor, jackal, or griffon with no indication as to where you're going - and most of us are not going to look behind us to see there's a great purple wall of destruction on your tail. (Mounts do not have rear view mirrors.) So what is supposed to go on? Hopping around the floating islands, often missing one by a lip, and then when you do death comes quicker. If you get lucky and take the ramp of rocks to the left, you still have to go horizontally unless on a griffon. Yet there is no indicator as to what objective or spot you're evading to.

And a few of us do not have the top of the line computer, and on wireless, and there's a tad bit of lag. The game does not care if the player has lag, as it will continue instead of adjust - and the player ends up losing an achievement for dying.

Would like to see a movie of what the various transitions are, so I can see what I am missing here.

    Thanks.

  13. Got that issue taken care of, thankfully. So both have their weapons.

Did notice however, that after elite speccing a Thief to Deadeye, only one basic weapon gets awarded. When I specced another Thief with Deadeye, she **did not** get a base Rifle. So wonder if the developers are going to address this for multiple classes, or is there only going to be one weapon awarded per Class?

Under the Character's Profile under Achievements Summary there is a panel for Unlocked Rewards. I wonder if the developers would then add these to the final outcome from the collections there? Would seem appropriate, and make the weapons anti-salvageable.

Just looked up "Kahdash's Riding Bow" for Revenant - 175 gold! Man, the game's getting serious now. The devs really need to give us other options of acquiring these rares past the sole collection. Soon weapons will be at 500 gold at this rate.

  14. Ahh... I see where I went wrong... it's the collections weapon that does not get shared across collections.

Ranger and Warrior had unlocked their PoF Elite Specialization, each did in fact ger their daggers. Did a collections quest, "Tip of the Spear" which is Account instead of per Character... which is where the peril of gold vs. weapons for Specialization Collection comes into play.

So when acquiring a "Darehk's Quick End" on the Ranger it did not get shared with the Warrior. The Warrior will have to buy their own, which prices have and will probably escalate in prices.

Would of though that if both "dagger" classes are had their prospective Specialization Class Collections open, and when acquiring a "Darehk's Quick End" it would get shared across those collections . Does not appear so.

Am staring at the Warrior's Spec Collections and and there was no "Darehk's Quick End" added to the "Silence of a Thousand Years" collection that was open at the time the ranger unlocked the "Darehk's Quick End" to her "Fang of Mokèlé" collection.

Had like four hours sleep (2 jobs, no life). After getting some rest I see where I lost track. Sorry about that.

So the thing is when a specific exotic weapon is unlocked it **should be shared** across all collections that are unlocked and available. Not just for the Class that acquired the weapon!

So when getting the Ranger unlocked "Darehk's Quick End" it should had updated both "Fang of Mokèlé" *&* "Silence of a Thousand Years", not just one collection and not the other.

Only bugger I see if if having multiple classes, only one character get the exotic weapon in the end. The "looks" will be unlocked for other characters, so they will have to acquire a crafted Ascended weapon.

  15. Was talk in our guild that when unlocking an Ascension Collection Weapons that both **shared** Classes should be at 30 points so when unlocking a weapon collection. In my case had both Warrior & Ranger were at 30 points: chose Spellbreaker on the Warrior. Warrior got a Spellbreaker dagger. Swapped over to Ranger, claimed the Soulbeast, she did not get a Soulbeast dagger, so bought one from the Black Lion Trading Post for 65 gold - that way when she could complete the weapon's collection. (only to be temporarily blocked cause no Weaponsmith at 400 yet.)

So, Warrior got her Spellbreaker Dagger on unlocking her elite specialization. Yet when unlocked the Soulbeast on Ranger she **did not** get a dagger when unlocking the Soulbeast specialization. What gives here??

This last time I created a new Guardian (Sylvari) and got her Firebrand Axe from choosing the elite specialization 2 days ago. Today had unlocked the Mirage specialization and she **did** get an axe. Only difference was these classes did not have 30 points stored to unlock, log out, switch to other class, claim the PoF specialization.

A few players say it's no big deal, go get an axe from the trading post (around 65+ gold), so when that class completes their specialization they can have the PoF Ascension Weapon. Well, not everyone is floating in gold, nor may not have the time to farm to acquire it due to one or more jobs, family, weatherization, chores, whatnot. For me it could take a month to get enough gold to buy 1 piece that did not come when unlocking and Elite Specialization.

So not all weapons are not being shared when one claims a PoF Elite Specialization... and this should not be. Would think that if the game does not automatically give the class their PoF the character could go to a specific NPC to acquire their Elite Class Weapon. - Also would need a failsafe here to keep exploiters from salvaging their weapons to get more. Or should we send in a ticket with what classes did not get their Elite Spec Class Weapon and wait a week to get a response?

  16. It does not seem as prevalent as before but it does still continue to happen. Did manage to get one massive dive, and remembered had to pull up sooner than expected and gosh of I didn't fly across the zone lickity split!

Tried again in a shallower area, got a modest speed boost. Landed, did it again to get to an event, was flying then ... yup, griffon decided to go on coffee break in flight. So the bus is still there. Maybe it's on older or slower machines, or those of us with low bandwidth internet?

  17. You probably have to save ALL those mini ____ Sunspears and add them to the Mystic Forge, probably in some methodical order, and make one. As of now ALL THEM Mini-Sunspears are in the Black Lion Trading Post cause they cannot be sold or salvaged. Yet there are those wanting to collect them for dirt cheap on alts waiting for something to become of them.
