I've been running this and really don't have room for an invuln.

I've been running this and I would love some comments. It is kind of a hyrbid of the boon beast style. Main hand axe after booning up hits hard.

When you finally get your OBS set up the way you like it (which takes time and finagling) for the love of god, take screen shots of your settings and back them up. You'll thank me.

No, it needed to be modernized. For its time it was amazing. You could adapt to the other team in so many ways. If you couldnt stand toe to toe in the 7v7 at flag you could force a split and beat them that way. One season my guild went undefeated, think we went like 70-0 with straight up balanced build. Felt like we couldn't lose to anything. This was in 2006-7. Times have changed and gamers today don't have the kind of patience that game style took.

I believe they were trying to create the GVG experience from GW1 which was a masterpiece.

Lightning Reflexes and Roll of Initiative is roughly the same, but Riposting Shadow is a **much more loaded skill.** One would argue that the high energy consumption makes it okay, which I would agree. In a situation a player only focused on doing Riposting Shadow (Which doesn't happen by the way), it can be used every 6 secs cooldown (30 energy / 5 energy per sec). It's still on a very short cooldown, food for thought.
I think its crap because its okayish at best unless you have WS slotted to upgrade it. Same with everything on ranger.

Longbow is moderately useless on half the maps and is also not great on the other half. I feel like axe has surpassed it as far as a ranged damage option.
-
The only real use I have found (during combat) is to get out of necro puddles quickly.
-
I just want the AOE cut down to a bare minimum. Or at least make AoE have pretty low damage. The game is so heavy anti melee it feels like.

My problem with the Ranger spec lines is...our stuff sucks without the trait to make it work right. You can't run any shout unless you are using beastmastery. You can't use any WS skill without WS. You can't run axe without beastmastery. You can't run warhorn without nature. We spend so much of our traitlines getting stuff to just be as good as everyone elses crap.

I have a love hate relationship with sic'em. It can give you nice burst for sure. But I can't stand using slots on things that just do damage, because we have so little utility on our weapons. Having all damage skills on our weapon and then using precious utility slots for pure damage skills....yeah...can't afford it.

On Druid, I win when my teams good and I lose when my team isn't as good. I feel like I don't contribute all that much really. It is still good at holding a side node but it can't take it at all.
-
Soulbeast can have good damage, with minimal/low sustain, or decent sustain with low damage. Spellbreakers and Holosmiths have both good sustain and great damage (and more CC). So...by my count, soulbeast should be alright.
-
Soulbeast isn't very good. It is like a worse holosmith or spellbreaker with less sustain. This version of soulbeast is even worse than that.

I was a clicker for a long time. Actually, I was a hybrid clicker. The best way to move on is to slowly, add 1 key to a keybind. When you get comfy with that one, move another one and so on.

Thanks! Unfortunately we are lacking the raw numbers and muscle to compete with them. Against scourge you just stay in shortbow and peck at their back. Against spellbreaker, you wait for the FC then put out the burst combo.

Predator's cunning hits a trillion times in this build as well, your first target when you initiate with 1 wolf back will blow up fast

If you don't want to use SoS, maybe try to use the Black Bear, but we know how bad it is outside of BeastMode.

> When it comes to condi removal, Bear only is sometime not enough, since you might use it for a simple heal, but then you get stuck with no condi removal... It pushes you to rely on your BMode Jacaranda F2 and F3.

> If I was to stay in the spirit of your build, I would trait WK and use Lightning Reflexes (2 condi clear, stun break, back leap and evade) instead of Griffon Stance. Since you're Condi, Entangle (another 2 condi clear) would be better than One Wolf Pack.
You really need the poison master trait or else the burst just isn't there. Like i said your defense if all your evade Iframes. You have 2 on short cd's with sword, one with dagger, then the one with shortbow. Add in 25% from WS and vigor on evade, and you can eb evading a lot. Throwing in griffon gives you another 2.5 evades, which a lot of the time you are just stalling and letting the poison tick.
-
The only condi cleanse is heal yes. It is very attritiony. You get in and land the poison burst and get out. If they cleanse it you hit it again. It kills very fast. I swap griffon out for signet of stone and sometimes moa, but moa lacks synergy.
You also have the heal pet for an extra heal and a little condi cleanse. The bear stance does heal 12 conditions now which makes it better. I'm afraid to dial back the poison anywhere or else you lose the burst and it just becomes bad.
-
Patch got released, and I thought the Vulture Stance change was the best thing we got so I tried to use it.
Your defense is your evading. You have a lot of it, save Griffon for emergency evading.
You can get a ton of poison burst from the start with SB2 + vulture stance + merge with smokescale and unblockable smoke assault into knockdown.
I think this ends up being close to 19 poison stacks.
The poison sustain is good as well. Sometimes I switch out Griffon depending on the other groups comp.
Open to suggestions. A lot of the time vulture + sb2 is enough to kill someone if they don't cleanse right away.

I never expected Soulbeast to be meta, but i would have settled for playable. Don't see myself pvping much now.
-
Sword won’t be hitting for much, all you get is the chill.
-
Can't be straight melee right now, you can't fight a scourge at all. There is always way too many reflects to bring LB. I've shelved ranger for now.
-
I just want soulbeast to be not trash
Can we PLEASE improve melee weapons?

Melee is not a place you want to be with 2 reapers in games now.
