    > I respectfully disagree. Assuming the first sets made are not ascended, it's way more practical to get 2 sets of exotic berserker armor instead of making an exotic set Commanders. Then once you are ready to upgrade to ascended commander, salvage the exotic set with Black Lion Kits to retrieve the support runes (especially in case of Leadership runes). Balance builds via trinkets.

I was tallking about full ascended, for fractals etc. You have to put support runes in ascended armors, so better to do it with suport stat type and keep berserker trinkets with infusions, so u can swap it for alts. This way u need just one set of ascended jewelry and separate zerk armors /e scholar +zerk weapons and dps sigils and commander armors /w leadership + commander weapons one with sigil of concentration. This is what i do to play with alts. I do it this way- zerk/viper sets heavy/leather/cloth, commander cloth for chrono, magi/cleric for ele healer. All ascended. This way i enjoy every spec and every build (some are not otimal but it still works fine). Ascended shield from hot collection, sword from pof, change stat in mystic forge to commander.

In this case it's the named exotic. Crafting a weapon would cost you a fair amount too. I do agree that they have to at least get that drop rate up a bit, it's kinda ridiculous, but they shouldn't be available everywhere.

    >

    > Veilrender has you doing a few events, a few errands (drop mystic coin in fountain lol) and one craft (mordant sickle). The only mastery you need for this is the Jackal, and you get it by buying it after you've done the thing.

    >

    > Now Horologicus on the other hand needs Mystic Barricade created in the mystic forge, Chronomancer's Inscription which means you have to do Dragon's stands events and get the noxious pods, Stealth gliding (gliding mastery 4), Itzel hourglass which requires itzel mastery 2 and airship parts to get, Invisible Chronomancer's Mushroom Spore dropped by invisible shrooms (nuhoch mastery 4), Chronomancer's Auric Sharpening Stone (requires exalted mastery 5) and machined shield collection which is yet another collection you have to complete in addition to crafting the shield required for the collection that gives you the machined shield.

    > So by your own logic, time is money, which one is cheaper?

    > Like i said, you're getting PoF ascended weapons with basically no work. So think before you speak next time.

I think you should listen to yourself and "So think before you speak next time". At least use some logic before you do so.

I dont know what you dont understand and compare hot to pof ascended's, but:

Masteries from HoT : u need to unlock them just one time for all characters, it means u dont have to it for alts.

You get masteries naturally by playing the expansion, thats not a some special work you put just to get collections, its natural order of things and doesnt require anything special, so your argument doesnt make sense. Everything can be done just by playing, and thats how it should looks like.

Machined collection- just a couple of map specific currencies, very easy to aquire.

    Mystic forge item- crafted.

"a lot of money" under HoT ascended?, ill quote u again : "think before you speak next time".

  3. That doesnt change the fact that drop rate of those exotics is ultra low plus chances of getting the one u need makes it impossible to aquire, instead u are at mercy of other lucky players and how much money they want for it. Beside that, a "collection" that literally force u to buy item from trading post instead of doing open world/crafting or somehow working towards it is plain stupid. At the moment its: /map "looking for a guy who got my sword!"

  4. 1.Its extremely easy to get viper trinkets outside of raids - living story s3. Took me whole 3 days to get 5 of them.

2.if u think condi and power dmg should be equal then u have now idea how balance looks like.

  5. Grieving is overhyped. Its worse than sinister and viper. It has ferocity, which to work need crt chance, with full ascended set u have like 34% because precision on grievers is secondary stat. Condi weapon skills have low power coefficients. Its just not effective.

Craft 2 runes of trapper and do twilight arbor to buy 4 runes of nightmare for tokens

  6. Despite dps loss caused by bugfix, i think it was the right way. In order to max ur dps out as scourge u had to stack sand shades and also YOURSELF on the target, which from design point of view was stupid, since scepter is ranged weapon. Maybe the numbers are not wherea they are supposed to be, but at least ranged class isnt supposed to play like melee.

Other thing bothering me since stacking sand shades is unintended, then why blood as sand and sand sage traits have more power the more active sand shades are currently active? Those cause summoning all possible sand shades most profitable. Wierd.

  7. class that can facetank while still doing good dmg would be a warrior, thiss is the build i use: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJAQJAnYjMdQdH23BWeAnIW6BMjAQBYph3kvydZkdwiLGA-jhBBABYt/o8DgTAQe6BC4BAcmSwKV/BA-e

385 hp/sec signet, 495 hp/sec 5stacked adrenal health, 133 hp/sec whwn u give urself might with magebane tether, 7% lifesteal from crits with dagger offhand. I just think about swapping axe mh for dagger for interrupt 3 and guaranteed 4 higher dmg. Second class with good sustain is thief with lifesteal trait. But warrior is the best.

    EDIT:

Forgot hammer scrapper i played in hot 1,5 year ago. That was the best class to solo with, idk how it is now, but it had a lot of self heal from superspeed/swiftness heal/sec trait, medkit after dodge, evasion and projecile reflects and crazy instant brakbar, long lasting stealth. I was able to solo almost every hot hp, ofc in zerk set. Then i would put thief

  8. Well, ele and guardian are classes with lowest hp pool - they are more glassy, so it make sense their dmg is higher than others. guardian The high burn dmg ticks ppl are talking about are from tome of justice active- which last for 5-8 spell cast, so those ticks last a couple of seconds then it goes on cd for 30 sec.

weaver on the other hand require some good micromanagments because of dual element switching, if weaver had dmg of a lets say- warrior, why would anybody play it, but on the other hand warrior is a lot more durable. if all classes would have similiar dps, it would be extremely boring

  9. Hammer engi. Good damage, great cc, great sustain with perma swiftness/superspeed trait heal plus medkit after dodge, great utility-projectile reflects, self buffing, vulnerability stacking, stealth. To me it seems it will remain the safest and easiest solo class. Its was the only spec i was able to solo almost all hot skill points. Atm new pof specs are nice and fun, but hammer engi will always have place in my heart. Plus u dont use kits. The downside is its old hot spec :/
