  1. A few years back; after having completed endgame in the basic sense (getting legendary armor, weapon, trinket, backpack); I sometimes find the time to login to go chat with random players, help em out with quest, chill a bit in the starter zones. And ofcourse when i see interesting topics on the forums i drop a message. In 2021; this is the extend of what i get out of gw2 as an old player; and i'm totally fine with it. Single player games are more suitable for me; mmo's require a degree of dedication; i sadly dont have the time for such commitment anymore. With every game; one shouldnt try to force themselves into playing if their heart isnt truly init. Perhaps your taste of what you like about games has changed. You can compare it with food. Eating the same pizza everyday... it will get stale soon. Some peeps stick to retro stuff and never grow tired of it; others prefer the next new gaming rush/innovation; And some are just happy with that one special game for endless replay value; GW2 has alot of replay value; thats for sure. If i had to make recommendations for some interesting single player games; Darksouls 1-2-3, Sekiro, Nioh 1-2, Dragons dogma: Dark arisen, Grim Dawn, Hollowknight, Kingdoms of Amalur: reckoning, Trails of Mana. Also keep an eye out for 25th of may when Biomutant releases; Open World Furry rpg. But in the end; **The choice is yours Arisen... yours alone.** o/
  2. We need a breath of fresh air in the playable race department; **The Smelly Jotura Tribe.** Has the body of a Jotun and the head of an Asura; smells like a Skritt. ;3
  3. If Achievements are a mechanic thats bonus/optional; then its totally fine; (the type of achievements you obtain in form of trophies like the playstation, xbox; their optional for the completionist/collectors, but dont effect your gaming experience. But i dislike the type of Achievements wich Gate/block your main progress/campaign. (you reaaaally need complete these achies or else game says nope) And mmo games tend to have alot of those Achievements to increase spend time. Its quite normal really :D If you wanna experience gaming devoid of achievement requirements just play single player games only; and even then you can get the achievements at your own pace. or some multiplayer game wich has only a few superficial achievment types (cleared level 3 without getting hit / got highscore in level 40 etc) o/
  4. It would be nice if gw1 got a remaster/remake; but its safe to assume Arenanet has allocated most of its resources/time to the current and the new expansion. Atm; Like all gamecompanies; choices need to be carefully made with the chaos that is Covid. they dont have the luxery to stray from their main goals. GW1 has high nostalgia value for the old fans of the series ofcourse but majority has moved on to the current game; wich has become the replacement. Most new players dont start with GW1 (its "Old" for them and their friends play gw2 + you only ever see advertisement for GW2 only) Nothing wrong with the idea to revive GW1 again for the greater good; but its just difficult to realise atm.
  5. Your artwork would really be nice for a stained glass project with multi themed panels (it reminds me alot of stained glass art similar what you see in cathedrals/chapels) I believe its possible to print such art on plexiglass wich allows you to create a faux version of stained glass. keep up the good work. o7
  6. Hey, There's potential for making a nice serie of these ; each with their own theme and music ; For instance; each of the races of tyria (make one with multiple scenes with charr depicting aspects of their daily lives; their struggles; their adversaries; etc like it changes to the beat of the music. Theres alot of gw2 soundtracks suitable for any gw2 themed videoclips. (they dont need to last the entire soundtrack either; use a fade in and fade out for both audio/visual . Try to make prototype of about 1 min? see if you can handle that time/production wise; you could always make it shorter if it ends up being too much hassle. For Visuals you could use the concept art Arenanet has already published its straight from the original source then (ofcourse you will need to be a bit creative with cutting the images and patching them up later when you use them as layers for the compositing (perhaps a bit of cloningbrushing) If i had to give an recent example wich fuses music and visuals to the beat watch the link below; (its not really gw2; but it gives that medival/fantasy vibe. ) [ ]( )
  7. Very interesting indeed. Did you use custom Vector brushes or a wacom with pressure sensitivity to achieve thin to thick line art?
