  1. Be careful when you ask them to nerf incensed because what theyll do is nerf everything affected by incensed in one balance patch by increasing the cooldowns or energy costs of all damaging skills or something ridiculous, then theyll realize that that didnt work so then in the next balance patch theyll nerf incensed, but since they never revert any balance decisions they wont revert any of changes they made in the previous patch

  2. I also want a selfish dps spec that grants gs. No minions or other summons or any kind of support whatsoever. No wells or aoes. I like the idea of a hollow legend stance with several slottable mist themed utilitys. This would allow the stance to be molded around what the rev wants to compliment their other legend, like if they want additional mobility or stun breaks. They could even get creative and have the elite be volitle and subject to change at random. The tradeoff could be that hollow legend energy doesnt regenerate, but you can swap out of it instantly, so itd be oriented around focusing on a core legend, which is good for as hybrid stat builds (which core rev was kinda designed around) are hit but mostly miss and dont perform too well in practice. So when you need that extra leap or stun break youd sweap to hallow legend, use whatever you need and think on the fly if you could use whatever elite skill is available, and then swap back to the legend youre on. Other classes get elite specs that change how the class works, rev just gets additional skills with no change in its core mechanics.

  3. The main problem is that the core class literally has less utility skills and weapon skills than any other class and thats its main issue. It is literally an unfinished class!!!!!!!!! Perhaps make f2 a slottable utility skill, and then the elite specs add more f skill options. Or have a bank of extra mist themed utility skills that you can slot into either legend you have equipped so that you can have an extra stun break or an extra leap if you want them, and then rev would have similar flexibility that every other class enjoys. You could equip mist step if you want mobility, or some kind if mist themed stun break called mist meld or something that gives you 1 second of evade frames or something.

Or you could just give empty vessel back and thered be no more problems

  4. It would probably feel better if they just removed both the knock back and the wind up and converted it into a pure evade mobility skill that maybe heals and cleanses. Keep in mind that the the knock back and the evade give it two uses as an offensive and defensive skill, and it was gutted because of its offensive potential

  5. No minions or summons or any support related spec. It needs to be a power focused individual damage spec with maybe a hybrid melee-ranged weapon that is greatsword. Legend should have a cheap 600 range teleport kinda like jaunt and some kind of upkeep skill that makes it so incoming attacks might miss. Or have an upkeep skill that makes the rev shadowstep towards targets upon using a melee attack. Also a stun break that grants evasion. Color of energy bar would be gray and f skill would change based on weapon equiped or energy remaining or something

You only need 3 days of wvw. 1 full day + 2 days of just going right before reset. However as much as people don’t say it. Always go for out numbered to get pips faster. Your talking 12 pips vs 6 pips. Which is much better. And if it is outnumbered don’t tell anyone. That way all you do is kill sentrys. Or little camps. If you die owell. Go for sentrys and repeat till outnumbered is gone. But don’t say you need a high level to get all you need to finish diamond in one day. That’s people with like lvl 1000-2000. Which you can get a legendary armor set way before that.

    > I’ve seen it available at all hours of the day. You just need to continually be hopping maps and checking the buffs of others to see if it’s available.

This is not true, that buffs accessibility will vary with your server and population up-time

    > No. The trade off for sPvP and WvW having legendary armor was that they would not have skins specific to the legendary armor itself. The ascended armor sets used as the precursors are unique enough.

Most people that don't raid would disagree. Since the skins are the same as the ascended precursors the item doesn't indicate the same prestige as its pve counterpart.

  7. Surprisingly, guild wars pve, gw wvw, and gw pvp are not 3 separate games with 27 different classes. Right now, If you were to play each class accross all the game modes without knowing which class you were playing, the pacing for each one would be so different it would be difficult to identify which is which. It is outrageous that there are warrior traits with internal cds as high as five minutes, more than 5 times slower than their pve counterparts! In competitive modes, it is common for a build to be as much as 30 percent slower than its pve equivalent. This difference completely changes how the class feels. Not everyone exclusively plays one game mode, as a matter of fact I think most players probably split their time up accross modes pretty evenly. These speed differences cant be good for collective mental health, which is probobly dwindling anyway. Changing cooldowns is a very different balancing tactic than changing numbers or effects, one alters pacing which alters playstyle, the other alters how much numbers get changed by other numbers. I cant be in a minority of players that want their class to play the same way accross game modes, and I cant even imagine how confusing these differences would be for a new player, which I think is the demographic that harsh cd changes were originally catered towards(?).

  8. Since this got bumped, chaos facet making you hear protection application sound every 2.5 seconds is a serious quality of life issue, and needs to be addressed. If the duration is going to stay the boon needs to be something that wont make a sound when applied, having it apply aegis over a longer duration may be interesting. Aside from that id just like sword 4 to get its block back and to have more stun break accessibility all around and then wed be good. As things are right now, if you get disabled right after you swap legends to break stun, you are ded, other classes with slottable utils can choose not to have this problem, rev cannot do this.

  9. Can we have a communal aura item storage area thats on the hero panel, and then for each hero you can enable and disable which auras you want visible for each character on your account. And then if you want to sell an aura youd just take it out of your aura storage and sell it. You could make money buy starting everyone with a definite amount of aura slots and sell more slots for gems. This would help with quality of life and may even reduce visual clutter.

  10. This is a question, I dont know what the issue ever was and why it needed to be reworked. It being ranged worked well with power revs hit and run play style. Now its just clunky, especially with the second part of the skill being dropped wherever the character was at the time of cast and not traveling with the character. Skill feels terrible. They said it didnt make sense to have a semi ranged attack on a melee weapon, but its even dumber to put an aoe attack on a weapon intended for single target damage and just adjusting the numbers so that it benefits from hitting one target. Further proves that no devs working on balance actually play rev, especially with having to hear the protection boon application over and over again on facet of chaos. Before this class was just neglected but now they just break things

  11. If a rev util has to Have a cd then the skill is wrongly designed or the energy cost is too low. Rev has two heals but theyre kept tuned down with this in mind, and in my own opinion I think itd be cool to Have rev heals reworked to where they didnt need to have a cd and instead where regenerative upkeep skills or something like that, shiro heal could cost 10 energy for 1 siphon dagger for example. Rev utils should have been designed with the possibility of repeated casts in mind from the beginning. Weapon skills should also only have cds and have util energy costs appropriately increased. Revs profession mechanic shouldn't be treated as an arbitrary tax for using skills.

  12. I dont like empty vessel removal, rev is a soldier profession. Good survivability is a characteristic that all soldier professions should have the option to have, not saying it should be inherent to every build, but for new players coming in and trying to learn the meta itd be weird looking at rev and finding limited sustain options . Warriors have their endure pain and their signet and their other stances and shouts, guardians have their stability and bulky traits, revs need their stun breaks and mist shenanigans.

I have a good bit of time on revenant on all the game modes. I think It would probably be okay without the higher cd on glint stun break or without the heavy nerf on shiro dodge. It might also be okay if there where more stun breaks on jalis and _a_ stunbreak on ventauri. Theyre also adding a lot of traits that proc on stun break, and those arnt going to be as useful without more frequent stun breaks.

At first glance it may seem like rev has enough stun break access provided that you dont have ventauri equipped, as you can always swap legends and stun break immediately, that is assuming your legend swap is off cooldown, because of course everyone knows exactly when theyll start getting cced. but you have to think about where that puts you in the longterm short term. Yes, if my gaze is on cd and I needed to be on my feet 3 seconds ago I can swap into shiro, jallis, or mallyx and fix the problem, but you have to think about where this leaves your energy. If you are using any weapon but staff, you have no more defensive options except maybe sword 3, and if you are using staff, after a second you can use staff 5. You dont have a shield equipped because that block just lets the enemy setup and you arnt trying to be a bunker because that build isnt valid anymore since you dont have a stun break on ventauri. After you put your legend swap on cd and used your staff 3 or 5, or your sword or hammer 3, you have no more energy. There arnt any other utils you can use except for your heals. With other classes after you use your stun break util you can freely continue to react to whatevers going on but with revs stun breaks being as expensive as its offensive skills it forces you to play defensive from there on.
