  1. They should just rework the entire weapon to work better. And no, it "looking cool" isn't a reason to have the abilities work poorly, and they can both keep the cool flame effects and have the abilities not feel terrible to use.

  2. Can't remember much other than trying to do map completion on my core ranger way back then and finding someone from Crystal Desert who didn't directly engage me, I didn't even realize you couldn't talk to other players, we ended up waving at each other once he realized I was a noob, and then killed me for my wake-up call. Glorious. Months later I remember taking a 1v1 with another warrior at a camp after he beat someone else, it was a very fun fight, one I put up, but eventually lost as well. All I remember was getting repeatedly Leg Specialist'd, and that after the fight he bowed. All in all, both deaths were very memorable. Good ol' days.

  3. One day they'll be forced to address the issue of stealth, because as it stands, Thief gets consistently punished by silly nerfs just because of stealth uptime. Thief's lucky it can still be played at all because anyone who says the devs "love it" are absolutely delusional -- it has always been a point of contention and Anet is known to do everything in their power to not address the real issues while having a handful of worthless band-aid fixes that will only make the classes unfun to play. If they did do anything to actually fix stealth, they'd open up design space to actually make the class worth playing without stupid cheese, which people only resort to because stuff like D/D is simply unplayable.

  4. Have been completely checked out of any Thief changes ever since they put a stupid ICD on all stealth attacks, a change I still don't get why it has never been addressed despite huge outcry at the time, nerfing D/D disproportionately when it was already bad. Yes, that was 4 years ago, and yes I'm still holding a grudge. They've never known what to do with the class, and they likely never will. Mesmer has been better to play for years until they decided they were gonna remove the baseline feature of having an endurance bar (lol) from Mirage, which was probably even worse design wise than the stealth attack ICD. Band-aid fixes for problems that are easily addressed elsewhere is what we get, anyone who's been here long enough can remember the kinds of 'fixes' they've tried.

    > Honestly? After much testing, I feel in some ways the druid is in a better place. Though, to be fair, it depends on your spec and playstyle. I haven't really noticed too much of a change, but I rarely if never use the avatar form. Definitely don't use Harrier gear and don't do fractals. So my mileage may vary for other druids.

See, that's the issue. That's the gear-type and game-mode that's affected the most, almost disproportionately so. And it's exactly where I run my druid. This change can potentially make it so on harder fractals a single supportive druid just won't be enough, you'll have to bring other supports/healers around which a lot of people do not enjoy playing in the first place, especially with random instabilities in place (Things like pugging Mai Trin w/ Toxic Trail or Social Awk. comes to mind). I've always had open parties for pugs w/ no requirements, but now I'm mostly likely have to contribute to the elitist meta of asking for specific classes in my pugs and make it harder on myself to find people for content. It's just not a good change. It feels like a very kneejerk change just to push Thief boon-share as a thing (let's be honest -- this is the real reason), which I've yet to see anyone run and I doubt many people are interested in it (I don't think many people run Thief in high-level fractals anyway, even though I always enjoy having a competent one on my team).

  6. Ranger was my original main when I first started the game and I actually dropped the class for a long time but PoF brought renewed interest in it when I found out how fun Harrier's druid was to play and I was actually able to support my teammates in Fractals both offensively and defensively. This doesn't seem like it's gonna be the case anymore. It's already extremely difficult to keep your party alive when they're running away from your heals, now you also can't heal them when they're in your range either unless you drop the entire reason why you're picking druid in the first place -- the ease of getting those boons that are a must have in the vast majority of this game's content.

Feels like a slap in the face of everyone who's spent the hours farming up Harrier's gear just to be told you can't have fun (or reliable clears) anymore.
